Absolutely criminal that they not only cancelled the show, but never officially released the soundtrack either

What a masterpiece. Hard to not cry.

I just finished another watch through of the entire franchise and honestly...I am happy with how this ended...I mean sure I wish it had gone on longer but the journey from the false Gods of the Goa'uld to the evil spirits of the Ori to the ultimate search for God or Truth or whatever Destiny is flying towards....the ideas that that journey is never ending and that we're like Eli, staring our into the unknown and it's beautiful and terrifying but ultimately will lead us to Truth...well...that's kind of perfect...and in the end it doesn't end, iot just goes to sleep and quietly moves on it's journey, I'm tearing up while writing this...but I am very grateful for everything these stories have gotten me through.

Very emotional music, I watch for the third time this show, and I want the next :(

I like to think the beginning repeats as a way of expressing how destiny flies through galaxy after galaxy all looking the same. Then the song gets more complex to represent when the destiny crew arrives.

Stargate is a gold mine waiting to be reopened. I think especially now since SpaceX and NASA are becoming more active in space exploration. A show like stargate would draw a whole new generation of viewers. I don’t care if they bring in a new cast or reprise the originals, there’s still a lot of story telling to do, the possibilities are nearly endless.

This is probably the closest to the actual track that I've ever been able to find. Brava.

I always loved the music of this show, I could never figure out what string instrument was used to get that haunting Melody from the opening of the first episode and spread out through the series but it's just such a beautiful sounding instrument and melody
