Farewell To The DB Class 60s. I Understand That At The End of 2023 The DB Class 60 will stop Work to Be Sold Off Or Scrapped. Here is A Tribute to Them Filmed by Me over the Last 3 Years
I salute class 66 red sheds and class 60 Red Barons of DB. Britannia rules the waves but Brits wave to Germany as their freight passes the platform. Here Union Pacific has to share too.
I really hope DB loses all their contracts. Also I would ideally like to see these Class 60's that are still fit for use pass to DCR and GBRF as I would like to see all the contracts pass to GBRF and DC Rail like the Kingsbury Lindsey and the Westerleigh to Robeston workings pass to DC Rail. Also I would like to see GBRF win the Colnbrook to Lindsey fuel contract from Colas. Perhaps maybe GE/Wabtec could overhaul the Class 60's for further use to boot as well. At least 60099 is coming back with DCR. Great video though Kev. Peter.
The class 60 was an engine, which did not perform as it should have been. The last engines are a little fleet only und this work can be done by class 66 easily.
