You should do a video on FPV microphones Joshua! I just ordered some from Banggood because I find the audio delay distracting when I'm flying at a distance. I was surprised you didn't already have a video on the topic so thought I'd ask :)
I tried to get a mic working with my TS5823 vTX a while back and for some reason I could never get it working. And then I quit and never looked back :-)
lol , cathartic. . but good seeing your perspective on the pids and why you upped the pitch I and both D etc, helps me in my own tuning once again .... i get those gnarly failsafes now and then , they do more damage than any of my flying . . what numbers would you suggest in BF failsafe tab the rx setting of failsafe to lets say increase the tollerance for low signal a tad more
You can raise the failsafe timeout but I wouldn't go over maybe 1 second. Just ask yourself how long you are comfortable with your copter continuing to fly while you have no control of it.
i have the flysky i6 and it does struggle to re-center the sticks, i have about 5 deadband on my yaw and even with ppm and ibus the numbers can still jiggle around center on BF gui. i wish the sticks themselves were heavier too, its not easy to find center
Wow! Dude, you just ripping with that thing! That last manuver was wicked, if it didn't failsafe you would have finished it nicely! Damit, now I gotta order in a pigtail for the vtx on my Eachine falcon 180! I wanna go rip that thing around now! Lol 😃 Any advice on that quad?
i'm really surprised by the troubles the rx/tx give you. i'm still using my 2 year old tgy-i6 with ia6b's, and must say i still love it. my gimbals center dead on after beating them around and never have range issues. it's probably my best investment in this hobby, and only costed 50 euros!
Glad to see it go :P. Looks like it has the iA6 receiver which is a parkfly one, iA6B would give more range. Though I would like to compare the iA6B to the Taranis RX, I have a feeling the Taranis RX would be better.
Hey Josh, are you sure that was a failsafe, and not a stick disarming? (though I didn't see it on the OSD...). Something similar has happen to me back when I was using stick arming, on a descend, while yawing left.... I also tried to blame the stick command for changing the PID profile, but that's probably not a good excuse. Will be waiting for your findings in the blackbox data... please let us know :)
The proprietary PDB is damaged and I don't think it's worth the trouble to replace. Don't worry though... I didn't trash the parts. They'll all find a good home.
How to get to the OSD menu directly? I tried the yaw right and full pitch but didn't show anything.. Mine everything is still stock parts. Appreciate your comment.
Hi Joshua Please confirm> this quad fliese in 4S battery. When you recording that video you used 4S? .. I ask only because I read on RC groups someone used 4s and burned esc then motors...I know that in this model esc ar horrible and best solutiont is to change them. please confirm which battery you used> Regards
many thanks for the information Joshua .By the way, videos which you make are very helpful for the people like me ... it's the best hobby in the World :)
If it is the Eachine FT200 video transmitter in it like my Falcon 250 had they just tend to die for absolutely no reason, it happened to mine of all things I think in a crash a well. At $300 I couldn't complain it allowed me to test out the hobby see if it was for me and taught me how to crash properly; however I look back to the components and build quality now and its questionable!
I would really like to see you review the x220 wizard as well... i ordered it myself and would like to know your thoughts and how it can be made better.
Thanks for your feedback guys...this is my first ever fpv racer i ordered...still on its way. I hope to get some experience on this like tuning ..changing parts etc... total newbie..😆
I got the arf version with f3 n blheli s. I have just bought a radiolink at9s with r9ds. Just waiting for it to arrive and then the real action will start..
BLHeli_S is good but you will do much, much, much better with Betaflight 3.0.1. Propwash handling requires good filtering and as far as I know, BF filtering is way beyond what CF has.
That ia6 receiver is garbage... please don't ever trust it. Replace it immediately with the ia6b (best range) or ia6c. The ia6 is a Park Fly receiver and has terrible range.
Joshua Bardwell, no worries, just not sure how long the UAV 250 clone we built together is going to last her. It was like 14 bucks and only has 3- mil bottom plates
Joshua Bardwell ah yeah i can see that now, well you certainly cant be accused of not giving that a fair chance to fly well. Although to be fair i would have killed for my quad to fly that well just 18 months ago, its amazing how things have progressed.
