April 13th, Rick May, best known as Soldier in TF2, has died after contracting COVID-19.
Here's my tribute in form of community pictures and an animation.
I've collected as many pictures as possible. All community created artworks, screenshots or even drawings you sent me. There were too many! I couldn't add them all. This shows, once again how connected and big this community still is. This this great.

Cue the “Triage at Dawn”. We lost a hero. I never really played soldier much, but I always felt he was one of the funniest. Thanks, Rick, well miss you. Now you’re really up there with the screaming eagles.

Atleast make Soldier’s default skin have a Patch titled “Rick M.” and a Medal of Honor tied to his neck.

i actually cried for 15 minutes because of this, its just sad how he died, he was a good man, its just, over all not positive, he will keep fighting, he will be above us all, be happy that he existed atleast, he did good, he did real good

I took rick’s acting classes a few years ago. Truly an amazing man and a great teacher. I will never forget him not only for being part of my childhood (tf2) being an amazing teacher and my best friend. Godspeed you magnificent bastard.
