Who remembers the story from the ‘90s about the old man whose shed was being broken in to? He called the police when two lads were in his shed but the operator said there were no available units and hung up. He called again but got the same response. A few minutes later he called back and said they needn’t worry, he’d shot them both. Not long before countless units were there who found two men robbing a shed. “I thought you said you shot them” “I thought you said you didn’t have any available units”
Especially as he is trying to beat society and not pay into it. Funny how that relationship is only one way when people want to use what the taxes pay for.
Sympathys. Love the "safety crocs" & "crackhead looking one.." & "but they didn't want to do that..." comments - kudos for presenting this in a light hearted manner after what must have been a stressful experience...
And run a data recovery on the storage for anything that's been deleted also. Give it to the CID or equivalent hopefully they'll do a full forensic recovery. If they still want to actually protect decent British citizens.
As mad as it sounds but Peacocks are really good too. I remember as a kid me & my Dad used to go on this certain route for a bike ride & this house that had big grounds had a Peacock that would come charging at the gate’s making a hell of a noise whenever we’d cycle past.
My Grandad was a Postie with a rural route. He had more trouble from guard-geese than guard-dogs. You just can't win them over. They go MENTAL at strangers and when the whole flock attacks, it's pretty intense! 😬
This actually makes me so sad. I know you're handling it well but you have every right to feel safe on your own property and your family also. Sending my best wishes. Hope this is resolved.
@@fredw3425it's how the dog is brought up , some of the nastiest dogs belong to airhead women who pander to their fashion accessory but it bites anybody near it
That's exactly what I just commented. They probably have a grow there already, and the drone was checking on it. Either that or they're looking for a rivals crop. You don't get crackhead burglars with a £1000 drone 😂
@heartcrafts3426 Near were I live they use the drone to find a grow and they used to go and tax them, but now they post a £10 phone through the door and a note saying that you have to use the phone to call them and then they extort money and weed out of them or they will go to the police and leave an anonymous message to shut them down, there's 5 smelly houses within 300 metres of me as I write this, it's rife! It should be legal and all the troubles that come with it will be gone 🤷🏻♂️
Sadly been like this for years, i knew a couple back in the 90s living about 10miles out from a small town where i live in north Wales....they were in a idyllic spot away from everything...bliss they thought...over five years robbed 3 x times....gave up and moved back to town...its a tragic reality of living anywhere
Yep here I am living on one of the allegedly worse roads in a small town in North Wales and in 20yrs have never been robbed. Plenty of anti social behaviour from the scum that makes it's way here from Liverpool and Manchester.
Get something big that bites a lot or some other form of self defense! But in the UK you’ll probably get punished more for defending yourself against robbery than the robber would…disgusting where we are going!
My brother has a small holding and where he lives there were a spate of burglaries of farms so he got himself 4 Turkish Kangal dogs that roam free on his property. Any burglars or trespassers will have to deal with 500lb of dogs with harder bite force than pit bulls and they are extremely territorial of the property. The dogs have known me since they were puppies but won’t allow me on the property without my brother or his wife or kids been there.
@@heartcrafts3426 It’s a risk my brother thinks is worth it. He does have several signs up with pictures of the dogs that say We live here and we do bite.
@@heartcrafts3426😂 that would require the criminal reporting to the police which they don't tend too do. The majority of criminals will just look for an easier target to begin with
Dude, I'm glad you're okay, I've only watched a few of your shorts (couldn't be happier for you), so this one came as a bit of a shock, just glad you and yours are safe and well
Oh shit I'm sorry to hear they are messing with you mate, just imagine you were running a boozer you'd have to deal with these fools on the daily. Load's of love to you and your's
I'm surprised the police actually turned up. Must have been a quiet night policing social media for hurty words. Sadly, farm crime is seen as easy pickings for arseholes like that. Lots of dark places to lurk, barely anyone around, and easy to make a quick getaway.
And middle of nowhere is obviously very appealing. Farmers, well anyone, should be allowed to protect themselves and their gear with guns in my opinion.
@thatsmeinthepic yes that's a slippery slope and very complicated if you shoot someone. I do however feel that you should be able to tackle a trespasser without fearing prosecution
It wasn't the government of the 1700s robbing him, it was drone-having crack heads. 2nd amendment doesn't do shite when your enemy has the 4th 5th and 6th 🙄
@@roryr8 School shootings are rare. Its about a balance between safety isnt it. Id much rather be armed than only have criminals and politicians being armed. Politicians will never allow us to have guns because they couldnt care less because they live in gated communities surrounded by armed guards.
We have one big camera that really makes a statement in the paddock near the drive. The gate gets padlocked. One big dog called Sergeant and one slightly smaller that runs at you but has no brakes. Oh and a stick that goes bang bang. Got all that simply because I hear one drone at 6am one morning. Then a few years later I heard another at 8pm. Infra red ability. Oh and we have electric fence 7 strands, high tencil wire around the boundary. I'm in Australia. I've experienced your frustration and never want to again.
It happens everywhere, I got $30,000 worth of tools stolen from my construction site 2 hours north of Melbourne. Cops came and took some fingerprints , never heard back.
Western states want distracted and scared populations. Easier to control with empty promises of fixing the problem. Solution gets combined with a furthering of the control state. Social credit scores, central bank digital currency is the goal.
This is also a crime you cannot have dogs to defend your property or yourself the UK court of law says that is a crime and it can result in your dogs being put down the same as defending yourself or your property that is also a crime got to love the UK
The problem is, and seen it loads of times, there is no repercussions for breaking the law out in the countryside. Even when you catch a poacher and they threaten to blow your head off. Mate had a gun pointed at his head, disarmed the little bugger, dragged him over a barbed wire fence and called the police. They turned up, handed the gun back to the poacher and spent half an hour threatening to do him for GBH and to confiscate his own guns which were locked up at home. The criminals have all the rights. We have none.
Incident near where i am a few years back. Someone noticed a couple of lads in a farm shed that shouldn't have been there. Locals surrounded shed with 12b's as they were out anyway after rabbits... Lafs wouldn't come out. Two hrs later police turned up. Sad bit one of the lads was the grandson of one of those who surrounded the shed.
I am so sorry you had to have that happen to you. Crime is overwhelming our entire country. You should not have to deal with this. This is a defence issue now.
At our house, we have two dogs and they make all the difference. Homer the Bullmastiff greets every visitor and checks them out... He'll bark and looks scary; but he's super sweet and will let almost anyone in. He's not a trained guard dog, so it's not his job, his job is doing hug therapy at the specialist school. A job he was born for! He'd probably help the burglars load their loot 😂 Rollo the Rottweiler, on the other hand, won't come and greet you or make any noise at all. He is a trained guard dog, on a competitive level; a job he was literally born for. You might get in, if you're not supposed to be there, but Rollo won't let you leave until he's told to let you go. We're absolutely sure about the dynamics there, they've been tested and tested and tested. Know your dogs. We also have Lexi the fox terrier, but she's more like a cat and just comes and goes as she pleases. The boys are terrified of her, she's a properly mean little thing.
Im always paranoid about my farm mate as there seems to be eyes on everything possible to steal 24 bloody 7 😢 Middle of nowhere until "they know where you are" 🤔 😔
I used to work for a computer reseller in the mid 90's. One day we had a ram raid on the warehouse and they grabbed a load of RAM chips and some server hard drives. Next day we got a 'Mystery call' from some guy who was offering to 'sell it all back to us'. Manager agreed for the guy to come back with it all and we'd 'pay cash'. He thought he'd be clever by putting the stuff in a taxi and paying the taxi driver to do the deal. Cops were waiting and the Taxi driver didn't take too much persuading to tell the cops where he was supposed to deliver the cash...dunno how it turned out as I switched jobs but by that time a prosecution was going ahead....
Tony shot two, killing one, burglars after constantly having his farm robbed and police doing nothing. He was sentenced to prision for murder and attempted murder but there was such a backlash from the public it was reduced to manslaughter and he was released after serving 3 years.
Not going to lie mate but there are a lot of farmers in the UK who love to grow the wacky backy. Passion and some profit. I’m talking about good old pension age English farmers who also farm hay, horses and swine. A lot of gangs cottoned on to this and they go to these farms as they know they’re defenceless and in a rural area. It’s rife in areas like Cornwall etc.
