Eric, I have seen countless young people at work, many at farms. I don't remember ever seeing anyone that would even come close to you. Working steadily, taking each day as it comes, not complaining...working hand in hand with your dad which is marvelous to see in itself. Solid gold characters, then you take time to record it, edit it and share it with your many followers. Peace from God be with you all.
@@empirejatt9956 they don’t hire people to work . It’s a family farm video’s so people know what goes into farming and sponsored by people that like to watch their videos for free.
I could not agree with you more William outstanding young man gives me a little hope for this country that the next generation coming up there is some really good workers Eric very proud of you and appreciate the videos thank you
Those automatic barn cleaners are like most people now days... only work when they want to! Not like you young man! Your dad has definitely raised you right. Really appreciate your videos
As she ages her drive for rodents will increase.. they are a ruthless rodent killer.. you will be amazed at the places she'll climb n dig to to get them!!
When do we see the pressure washing video of the calves? It's very pleasant to see dirty to clean time lapse. If she's shy just do wide angle shots of that barn.
I was glad you explained the behavior of the cow that was not settled, while you were dipping her, some folks may not know that. With all the heat we've been having throughout the nation, a lot of the cattle are having a real tough time of it. Good to see that yours are getting good care. Cute pup there. Thanks Eric for the video, enjoyed it. Have a great weekend.
hi i love your videos I am a French farmer and I would have liked to know what wood was used to make your fence posts? and what is the food ration for your heifers they are magnificent ? See you ✌️ (in the last videos)
I am always amazed at your dedication to keep all of your animals clean and healthy. This says a lot about you and your families love for what you do. So thank you! And I am really enjoying watching Dutches grow up. I think she wants to be in the Kubota driver’s seat so she doesn’t miss out on anything. You do make great videos…even if you are just doing odds and ends. Thanks again.
As crazy as this sounds but back in the day we always had a radio going for the cows, an actually increased production something with Elvis an Johnny cash the cows really produced ,crazy as it sounds give it a try
Love the videos! I can't imagine how busy you must be to edit your videos and dairy farm. ,From a dairy farmer in Lancaster, Pennsylvania (We should meet up sometime)
You take great care of your animals ..I have worked on farms where the calves were backbone to the rafters because that was how long it had been since the pens had been cleaned ..we had to do shovel and wheelbarrow but still no excuse ...would be a pleasure to work on a farm like yours
Hi Eric and dad awesome video yes happy how you’re day start by milking thanks for awesome job you all day and as always you and you’re dad and families be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Please slow down camera movement it can be hard to watch, you have been doing good, but last few videos have had Fast and jerky movements. Thanks. Your content is very good.keep up the good work.
Wondering how do you ensure a reliable supply of sawdust? Your operation relies so heavily on it Do you buy from a broker or a mill? Keep up the good work 🤩 JIM
That dip is a good dip. My cousin used to milk and used it too! The puppy sure is cute! There's no dought that's a sample and now you have goth cows next there going to want spiked collors and chains to wear! Lol
If I ever see someone say the 10th generation is fake I’m going to report them because Ik he’s real I’ve talked to a hauler they use down next to them he’s a 100% real
I watch you and Dad work hard and I relax. Seems Weird but I love it. Makes our long days seem shorter somehow. Thanks for sharing your work days Eric. Trust Jack and the rest of the family are all well. Certainly Dutchess is doing very well! Cheers 🇨🇦
If the robots give alot of trouble could you use the big brush they make for the skid steer. You can get guards for them so it don't throw manure everywhere. Just a thought. 🤷♂️
Plant a few shade trees on the pasture. Not immediate solution but in the future it will be. Shade sails is another option for immediate relief and can be removed for winter.
Erick, have you thought about getting one those rock buckets or they use to the bucket to pickup tree branches or tree roots. They seem to be built very tuff, I have not seen one torn up picking up rocks or cleaning up the ground collecting branches or tree roots. The thought came to me on one night one might use one of those buckets to go into those calf stalls and pick up the bedding and let the bedding fall through the forks of that adapter or even shake the adapter a little to breakup that packed bedding to a nice soft bedding. You have a pens o f hard bedding in one barn. I saw a couple times you borrowed a neighbors rototiller to stir up those pens to make a softer. bedding.
Good Saturday Afternoon Everyone !!!! Got my sweet taters in the bucket. Ask any farmer. With all the TV commercials showing people with their freshly laundered clothing shoved in their faces inhaling them as if fresh fabric were some kind of intoxicant, and dancing around their washers and dryers, we've lost sight of the importance of the soil. My favorite method of maintaining a sustainable pantry and stockpiling items long term for the whole family and the family dog and the family cat is what I consider to be the most practical, utilizing every type of food storage methods and technology available, both old and new. . Except for the fruits and vegetables that get canned, I keep perishable items like meat, poultry, fish, fruit, vegetables and dairy products in the refrigerator on a short term basis until I'm ready to use them for a big family meal - and for even longer term sustainable storage, a large separate freezer, which can store a half side of beef with plenty of room left over for homemade ice cream etc. . I'm considering upgrading to a walk-in freezer at some point.in the near future, if my plans to open a bed and breakfast come to fruition. Sometimes, however a nice round of cheese can do well for quite awhile on a pantry shelf at room temperature - and doesn't mind even if it has to stand there alone. Store bought canned goods get shelves.in the large pantry closet - several for canned meat like corned beef hash, spam and sandwich spread and another for canned vegetables Bread, rolls, grains, homemade pasta, cereals and the like are stored in special humidity controlled bins I order from Amazon Prime - which usually get delivered to my doorstep about an hour after I order them. . Stuff from the family garden and orchard, like onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, cauliflower, cucumber, pumpkins, carrots, corn celery,, potatoes and yams, cherries, blueberries and strawberries get canned in Mason Jars and stored in the cool, root cellar of this wonderful rambling former farmhouse (circa 1867) I share with my extended blended family and several rambunctious dogs raised on table scraps from the some of the finest food from a plethora of sources both commercial and home based. . There's even a special separate "summer kitchen" which I converted to store butter and ice cream churns, pots, pans, utensils, extra storage containers, foil, bags, cutlery, and other meal related accoutrement. Out back in the woods, just beyond the big pile of wood I maintain all year, (for use in an antique woodstove I keep on hand, in case the power goes out) there's even an old rusting vintage still where my great grandfather made some of the finest corn whiskey for miles. Next to it is the rusting hulk of the Ford Model A he used to transport that powerful hootch by the light of the moon on soft summer nights to his eager customers in a tri-county area. Further into this verdant forest of mostly sycamore, oak, pine and scrub, runs a cool stream into which I occasionally cast a rod or net to catch some Brook Trout, Bluntnose Shiners, or whatever takes the bait (just earthworms for the most part). And yes, hunting season means wild turkey, deer, and even an occasional wild boar. Next week, I'm planning on filing for a permit to 3-D print a smokehouse in order to be able to create gourmet artisan handcrafted, beef, bacon, turkey, and beef stick jerky, which interested local merchants can private label for other people to share with their families and their family dogs. Unfortunately, i had to break the bad news to my free range hens today that due to expected egg shortages regretfully numbered are their days of laying a couple of eggs and then basically taking the rest of the day off with ranging privileges' within the parameters of a few very nice rural acres - parts of which are rich with fat grubworms. There's even a short dirt road between the main barn and the farmhouse which they're free to cross to get to the other side as often as they'd like. My rooster Ben overheard me and he ain't too happy either, knowing full well that due to oncoming egg shortages, he'll be "workin' overtime to make sure there's plenty of eggs for me and the family. God Bless Everyone who works with Dirt.
The dog if she has a love to chase and if she spots one running she will go after it. My little dog loves to chase and kill mice she goes crazy when she hears them rummaging in the cupboards in the winter time.
Can you put grooves in the floor like the walkways in cow barn to make it safer for winter months and skidder traction? If you know what I am talking about...
It's so interesting that the cows check out the camera sitting on the floor as they exit the milking stations. They see something different, and they have to get close, sniff and take a good look! Something like that camera sitting there is entertainment on an otherwise boring day. Your videos are always enjoyable. Thanks for another good one!
5:30 good job as always! I did noticed probably for the first time that you are piling manure. Do you have enough manure to cover all the land that you have? I know thought the fall, winter, spring you spread it everywhere but not sure if you mentioned if is enough or you have more than needed! Keep it up, you are doing a very good job!
It's all about the odd jobs. There's always something to do around the farm. You and your dad do a great job of caring and nurturing your cows. Your pooch just wants to be a part of everything you and your dad do. Stay safe.
I’ve watched you for a long time an oddly my favorite parts of the videos when you put it in is the manure scraping. Also watching the pressure washing of the pins would be so satisfying to.
@eric_diaryman👈on telegram hey buddy I was just kind of curious as I’m a former farmer myself.. were you guys planning on Purchasing a newer tractor to replace your 4240.
Is there contact info if someone wanted to send you folks a gift to help out around the farm? Love your content, and would like to help in my own way if possible.
That’s understandable everyday job morning until way in the night . Eric you show different stuff everyday that is good . The milk parlor is looking real good and clean. When send things off to the lab how long do you get your results back? Not enough nutrients it looks like. You may of told this once before what do you do with the female calf’s you sale them as well like the bull calf’s? Your one touch cookie never complain about nothing just do your work . The calf pens look real good. Did you think about up about where their is windows putting auto magic doors to keep snow out in winter?

I love getting to see what you do on a daily basis. Farm work has always seemed so rewarding to me. Do you think it would be a good decision for someone with no background of running a farm or even working on a farm to start a farm of their own? I've been watching you and doing research and what not and the work/reward seem so great!
Watch Clover Mountain Dairy. Their dairy farm starts with the building of their farm house, and 3 heifer calves. Neither of them were brought up on a farm. They did a lot of research in preparation. I believe this is their third year.
I love the fact that you, and Cooper the Cornstar and me have all gotten a puppy this year! Say hello to your wonderful family for me! Dad, Emily, Evelyn and little man I think his name is Jack? Sorry if I have that wrong. God bless you all. ✝️👍🏼❤️
