Thank you for doing this labor on behalf of plus size people! I had suspected the only thing that might fit me would be smocked style as a 16/18 so I’m glad my hunch was right before I hit up their Labor Day sale.

I love Farm. Being born and raised in Rio, it’s a brand that we all grew up with. It’s fun to watch it grow internationally. That being said, there is a few things people should be aware. Brazilian sizes run bizarrely small. I’m a size US 14 and never came close to fit into anything. Specially with you are to heavy - they are more generous in the hip area. Also, the prices in the US are nuts. They seems to be focusing in the luxurious market for some reason. That is not the case in Brasil at all. There they are more focus on the youth, very popular with high schoolers and university students. I would place them in a the same category as holister.

Thank you so much for doing this. I guess we will have to keep an eye on the line and hopefully they will include us someday. Our bodies are very similar. I do sew so you just helped inspire me to go to the fabric store and make my own similar dress with smocking and stretch in the right places. Im also seeking out local designers I can give some business to. Anthropology has been a massive disappointment to me over the years for sizing especially in the bust. I love Farm Rio and the colors and prints but had the exact experience with sizing. I am a size 2 and need to go up 2 sizes. Now I know for next time! Was a bit discouraged! They have a store in SoCal where my daughter goes to college and hope to go next time I am visiting! :)

The clothes look so pretty & of good quality. Sorry the sizing was off. I'm also hard to fit & am wary of buying clothes online. Nice video!

They had a sale today and I bought 3 dresses. Now I’m like😩🥺 because I know they’re not going to fit. Wish I would’ve seen this before my purchase this morning. They have shoes on sale at Nordstrom today too! I suppose those will fit. Lol 😅I’ll probably send them back though if the dresses don’t fit. Thanks for the review! Loved it!

The shoes run crazy as well. I wear a 7 womens american and a 5 UK I had to get an 8.5 american which fit like a 6.5, and I purchased a 7.5 which was an actual 7 in the beaded sneaker. One woman bought a size 9 sneaker -she told me she wore a 7 too.

Such a bummer that they don't do plus. I was hoping stuff would run large for you because i'm an 18/20 just lusting over so many of their pieces 😭 i also noticed a few years ago anthro had some farm rio in plus but they haven't in at least a year

They have a diversity committee on their IG so hopefully in the future they become more inclusive to size 16 wearers.

So I did receive my farm Rio Dresses I ordered the Fruit Forest XL Dress and it is AMAZING. I think you have to look at the type of fabric. My dress is 100% Rayon so it has stretch in it. But cotton garments do not have any stretch in them...which I knew this but forgot to check bc I ordered the Under the Sea midi dress 100% organic cotton. On camera it doesn't look like cotton, it looked slinky and stretchy. So I may have to sell it on eBay (final sale item).

I had no idea Farm Rio was founded by women of color! If my size is the largest it does make me hesitant to try because question if this brand sees and values me and women with my body type. Once I confirm that the fit is off, I drop the brand from my mind and carry on with liking who likes me! 😆 The pink top is very cute, but I agree with your thoughts on it. I like the green top. They sell extended sizes at Anthropologie.

The sizing is hit or miss. One 8 fits like a 4 and one is an actual 8. Got a medium dress that fits like a 16 (sweater dress) while another medium fit like a small or x-small. The cotton clothing is the same. You have to go to the store for a proper fit.

I just ordered tropical tapestry dress …… it’s really cheaply made. Very disappointed definitely returning it.

it wasn’t made just for women of color only . Brasil is diverse , the models apresented wearing it are good percentage of brasilian population

to size up to 16 is not a common thing in Brasil

brasilian sizes are based on the sizes of the brasilian and european sizes . Also the styles doesn’t look good in someone that is a larger size … unfortunately
