Farm Rio Fail| When Luxury Isn’t Worth The Money| 

Buyer beware. I bought a gorgeous embroidered maxi skirt from Farm Rio last summer as a birthday gift to myself. It was stunning…until I realized two things: if you are 5’4” and under, these skirts will swallow you. Second, the quality of the embroidery for the price point is horrendous. After one wearing to a birthday dinner, the embroidery threads in several places on the skirt were already coming undone, ugh! I’m now afraid to wear the skirt again until I can get it to a professional seamstress for repairs. Be mindful that while Farm Rio is designed in Brazil, most of their clothing is manufactured in China and and we all know their track record for quality.

I fully agree. I have bought MANY pieces from Farm rio (from different collections) and apart from the shoes which I have not worn for long, everything I bought almost, had a small defect : threads coming loose, buttons coming off. etc. I love Farm Rio, but so disappointed in the inconsistencies in the quality. I am honestly on the verge of writing to them and showing them all the pictures I took. I also just requested an exchange on a Final sale item since it came with a button loop completely undone. I agree with what you say in your video.

Thank you for this review. It was thorough and measured. I just found Farm Rio and wondered if it’s worth keeping an eye out. It’s way out of my range, but I wondered if worth it for a special purchase. I think I won’t waste my time and I will definitely take a look through your channel for other suggestions!

I usually buy knit pieces because I'm almost certain they will fit. I have a beautiful sweatshirt I can dress up and down. I have a pair of knit pants, i own 2 sweater dresses, and a raincoat. I never had an issue with any of my pieces. I do only buy on sale.

I bought one of their dresses at 235$, i was shocked by how low quality it was. Lots of loose threads, terrible uneven stitching, and it's not even lined with anything on the inside. The material is 100% cotton so it feels pretty flimsy. On the 3rd wear, the thin little belt string it comes with to cinch at the waist, snapped in half. I was baffled that they would take two pieces of string and stitch it together instead of just using one whole piece especially since its a part of the dress that would constantly be tugged and put under stress at being tied. I kept it and made my own alterations to it and learned to just live with it lol. Will not be purchasing anything from them ever again. Super cute print but the quality is so terrible.

I was in LOVE with their stunning patterns & colors until I saw things on a rack…girl trust me when I say this is NOT a one-off…they’re serving up F21 quality at luxury prices & its horrendous 🤬

I bought 3 items from Farm rio. The first was a beaded sweater ( great quality) although a little over the top so I barely wear. The second was a duster type cardigan with leopards. It’s a beautiful print but honestly lightweight and cheap fabric like something I could have bought at a discount store for $30. It seems you pay for the exotic prints. I kept it because I bought it on clearance. The third was a coat for $100 final sale so I couldn’t resist. Now I know why it was marked down and final sale. It was beautiful on the model but looked like a Halloween costume on me. The sleeves were humongous even though I bought a small. I tried it on for my friend and husband they both agreed it looked clownish if that’s a word. I couldn’t see anyone wearing it in public. I sent it to a consignment shop and told the lady it still has the tags and it’s a very expensive brand so try and get what you can but at the end of the day it’s an ugly coat. I will never buy final sale from them again and haven’t bought anything since the cost about a year ago. I do like looking at the pictures of the clothes on the models but I feel like they work hard to make average clothes look beautiful and exotic so you overpay. I guess it’s good marketing but buyer beware.

Honey Chile, you just like me might even be worse! I am a stickler for inspecting items of clothing and shoes I buy. I bought it with my hard earned money and expect the price point to match the quality. This is why I don't get caught up in name brands. Because I have found more often than not the quality of some name brands and luxury brands are insufficient to and don't reflect the price point they are being sold for. It is quite insulting to the consumer.

What size did you get? Are they true to size ?

Yeah. The quality of the shirt is ridiculous for the price. Smh
