In the late 1970"s my Dad took out a loan to buy 22 acres and started out with farming it with a 1940's John Deere model B, an antique 2 row planter, an old disk that could not be raised or lowered and a 1950's Allis Chalmers All Crop Combine. The small farm has been paid off about 20 years ago and our equipment is a little newer these days.
we need more creativity to come back to the farmers, small farmers are just as important as the big ones, we need to go back to more family farming , those things that really made our country
One question I have. Why do very few people ever show the final results. How well did it thrash out the chaff from the seed? Let's see the cream of the crop in the hopper.
We had 2 on our farm in the 60's(2 ed hand) for 60 acres they had petrol engines & were bagers .There was 1 (& still could be ) at Breamer Country Museum Hant's.
The tractor and combine belong to a friend who farms like I do. My combining setup is a John Deere 730 tractor and 42 combine which you can view on my Utube channel.
