So glad you're coming to New Zealand. I am impressed that Jocelyn pronounced New Zealand correctly. We are having a marine heatwave here, with ocean temperatures 6 or 7 degrees C higher than normal so you might not need a very thick wetsuit. What parts of NZ are you visiting? The Poor Knights marine reserve is world class for diving. Well worth a look.

By far my favorite Island! Check out the Captain Cook area for food and beach scenes for fishing. Waimea has great local food. Hilo has fun local food as well.

I remember there are some amazing local honey farms on big island. You can get insane floral scented honey from them. Look forward to a catch and cook one with those delicious honey.

Be careful with eating the freshwater prawns out here on the Big Island. They can carry the rat lung parasite. Was safe to eat back in the day.
