Thanks, It's great to hear what is actually happening on the BG land. There is a lot of talk going around about it in certain circles. Truth be told - he isn't the most trusted person here. We figured he was buying it up to use it for his fake meat products. Thanks again for the insight.

Big billionaire's and corporation's should not be allowed to buy huge amount or be in control of vast amounts of land. In Ireland the chianese government are buying land here all the time this is bad for everyone in the long term

Thank you for farming. I was a 9th generation farmer. My ancestors were farming before the war - in the mid 1750's. I started working in the cotton field, picking cotton - in 1956. I quit farming in 1985. I retired from work in 2020 after working 64 years.

Thanks for your unbiased observations about your neighbour's farm. I am extremely confident that you have a close personal relationship with your land and that you truly care about your workers and the end product you deliver. You are someone that I want to control when, how and what is grown for human consumption, but I can't say that I feel the same way about Bill Gates. When a person heavily involved in genetically modified plants, insects and synthetic biology also wants the world's population reduced, all while sitting at the beginning of our food chain, I can't help but be very concerned.

Farming has come a long way since my childhood. My dad farmed 63 acres with a team of horses. Shucked corn by hand, his hands were so calloused that they felt like 80 grit sandpaper. He farmed of the daytime ran a bulldozer at night at the coal mine. Great memories that very few can even imagine nowadays.

As a trucker and youtuber in northern Missouri I use to hunt and fish on some local farms. Many in my area have become corporate farms and won't allow anyone on the land that isn't a employee. They are really struggling to find skilled labor to work. Funny I use to help out for free but now they are paying steep wages for unreliable idiots. What comes around goes around.

And the day will come where Bill will tell people what they can and can't grow on his land. You will either grow what he wants you to grow or you won't farm at all.

I'm surprised he's growing anything. I was 100% prepared to have you show us an empty field.

Somebody should take a sample of crops from Bill's land and have it independently tested in a lab to find out whether or not he's messing with genetically-modified seed.

Thanks for your perspective and equally, thanks for being a farmer. Much appreciated. We have a small 500 acre operation in southeast Georgia. Mostly cotton and peanuts and every so often a little bit of field corn.

I have a simple question for the farmers. It looks like you are getting a good harvest this season. How long can the corn and soybeans stay in the elevators before shipping the crop? and have you been having issues with shipment on barges or trucks? And Thank you for your hard work.

I am so saddened by the corporatization of farming in North America. I come from a long line of Canadian farmers who used to farm thousands of acres of "rape seed" in a place called Peace River. Beautiful fields of yellow. Now the politically correct term is Canola. Like many, our farm was divided by death, disinterest and sub-divisions.

As you touched on in your commentary, “why is a billionaire computer guy involved with the illness and treatment”. What happened over the last two years was the largest redistribution of wealth in human history. Now gates is all of the sudden the largest farm ground owner in America and probably many other countries that allow it. Think about who funded all the research and development for all the treatments and protocols for the illness. You and I help pay for gates’s farm ground.

Wonder if Bill Gates has registered his "garden" with the USDA? The USDA is encouraging people to register their garden under the guise of a community program called “The People’s Garden”. They’re literally creating a map of anyone who grows their own produce.

Since Bill Gates' EX reportedly took him to the cleaners - she may actually own that land. My father always told us kids, "Land is valuable. Get it. Hold on to it. Someone will want it. Sell it big."

Years ago I hunted public ground in western Colorado. Bill Gates owned the property bordering where we were hunting. Dang near the whole mountain seemed fenced in. Our guide whose outfit (horses, camp, etc) we were paying for instructed us NOT to chase wounded elk or mule deer onto his property. Stated they would coordinate retrieval if needed. Thought that was pretty interesting and cool back then (1995ish). Dude owns thousands and thousands of acres across the US.

I'm from a 1 acre yard. My hole family is in the oilfield. My great grandpa married my great grandma who had 160 acres. He built it to 1,000 acres then when he died my grandma and brother and sister didn't want to farm. It all sold down back to the original 160 acres. My neighbor across the road who graduated with my grandma came from 160 acres and now owns 55k acres. My senior year of high school he asked if I could dig 8 holes 4ft deep in 90 degrees. I said sure. This next summer will be 5 years working for him full time and I love it. So many cows. So I bought 80 acres 2 years ago. I use it for hay crops. Then on the original 160 acres I have 10 cows but let's talk about my wife. Her dad passed away when she was 8 years old. Her Mom never was around and grandpa was already dead. She inherited 1200 acres as an only child but legally didn't get it tell she was 21.... so the very nice swather was ran down my a cracked guy. Combine stolen. Yep. How is that possible. Wheat drill ok. Baler ruined. Hay rake. Eh it's OK. Augers are OK. HUGE grain bins like 50,000 bushels compared to my 10,000 bushel bin. I still haven't looked close at them. Well I found out the person that's supposed to watch over the land wasn't paying taxes. I got pissed. Got her a lawyer and we took the land back by 20 while we're both in college and working. I have 30 ish cows over there. Well. My wife but yeah. My dad and grandma don't understand me and my cows 😅🤣

Somehow the "algorithm" suggested this video to me. Raised on a small (480a) in NW Iowa, the scenes are very familiar. Yes, land is a great investment, hopefully my non-farming niece and nephews will understand that. Glad to hear that at least some of Bill Gates land is "conventional", and is being farmed by a knowledgeable local farmer. I'll search for more of your videos. Non-farming people need to understand more about what it takes to successfully produce a good harvest, and that usually means herbicides, sometimes pesticides, and yes GMO. One of Bill's entities owns some ground around our area. There is also another large investment group that has been buying up a lot of land in southern Michigan and northern Indiana over the last 10 or so years. The most notable thing I've seen from these owners are the tenant they attract. There is a lot to be said for absentee landowners. I feel like people don't have to try as hard if the only thing they are accountable for is getting the rent paid. There are two local guys that operate on some of the land, and they do a good job. But on the rest of it, two different operations come from COUNTIES away, put little to no fertilizer on, horrible weed control, have an awful looking crop, and run up rents in the area. These two operations are in their own financial trouble right now, and they took the ground over from someone that went broke farming it, who took it over from someone that went broke farming it. I guess what I'm trying to say is, maybe it's a bad look for agriculture? I don't know...I get that money is money and business is business, but when the ag industry is under so much public scrutiny, everyone needs to do their part to take pride in their work and try and keep the regulators away as long as possible. And like Sir Lankalot said, after seeing how Gates was with the whole C19 thing, it scares me that he is buying his way to the front of the food chain. I'll never forget the clip of him comparing getting the vaccine to wearing pants in public...he literally came off as insane. It was pretty scary. So I'm definitely worried about him.

He didn't invent an operating system. The reason I know this for sure is because my dad got a degree in computer science in 1970. In 1981 he talked about windows. By 1986, he saw something he didn't like and quit. Started running a bait shop. All the while he would say that what we see now has been around for twenty years and in another twenty years, we will see what they are playing with right now. Good talk. We still have an old homestead farm. The deed is wrote on sheepskin.

South Central Nebraska... you should have known 'Walking Eagle' except you have green so you might not have, he sold red stuff out of Hastings and Hebron. I grew up out there, don't live in Nebraska anymore, I would have moved back when I got out of the military except finding land I could afford was near impossible. So many people have no idea what farming and ag is like, how it works, what goes on, its good you are showing them. I've been out of farming for 35 years, back then it was damn difficult to make a living, not that its easier now.

Just what I have read about that Gates purchased the last few years. They were already huge tracts of land owned by some sort of entity. So nothing really changed much just switched from one cooperate owner to another.

Gates is the largest individual landowner in the country almost 300,000 acres. I read if it is true he would like to eliminate beef cattle in the USA because of methane gas they produce. My personal thought is he would like to be able to control food in this country like the computers.

OMG! New to your channel! Fantastic video -- so glad to have found this! I live in NJ (The Garden State). Well, here in the South Jersey area (Philadelphia suburbs), we're not so much the garden state anymore, as more family farms are being turned into housing developments. Still plenty of farming in "deep south" of NJ, such as Cumberland and Atlantic counties. We STILL grow the best blueberries and tomatoes! I won't say corn, but we do have good summer corn (I don't eat corn anymore, digestion issues). Glad to see a wealthy guy like Bill Gates care about feeding and curing the world, unlike some other rich guys who just buy Twitter (I'm not on Twitter). Anyway, hope you have success with your channel.

I'm glad I found this channel. I'm looking at getting into farming and any info I can get I will gladly welcome it. I currently live in Idaho however I'm looking at moving out of Idaho to the Midwest where you can still afford stuff. Idaho used to be cheap to live in. However due to massive influx of out of staters we've been getting it's drove the prices of land and houses into California levels. So unfortunately I need to move out and find a cheaper place to live. So I'm looking at going into farming.

I definitely stand with farmers. They have been targeted by corporations and our justice system did not do the right thing for too many farmers who basically had their land taken for nothing they did. Thank you for doing whatever it takes to get your crops to the people who depend on it.
