Is there a fear here that this just becomes a "slight refresh" on the technology used in the Giants engine, a new map and a couple of new crops...I sincerely hope not...
I think sometimes its lots of little things that add up to make quite a big change. I know Rice isnt something i'm going to be doing but the Textures, Lighting, Physics and Ground Deformation sound exciting to me but i do think we are due a complete overhaul soon
@@banzaiman1 I have to agree, I think there is a limitation to the Giants engine and they are probably coming up against that too. The problem is, adopting something like Unreal etc then moves the game into something else and becomes very difficult to maintain the modder-base too. I feel a little underwhelmed with this announcement (no reflection on Scroft here) especailly looking at things like the swath physics...they look no-better at all.
With them dropping the old-gen consoles, we should be getting a much-needed upgrade overall. The graphics and details should jump up. It's underrated how much the older gens hold the game back for players and for modders. I already know, by talking to Oxy that is a great thing for him and map makers.
There's 25 crops on that poster so there's room for 3 unknowns, 2 if spinach isn't a greenhouse crop. And the innovative machinery could be something like that NEXAT tractor that allows planting, fertilizing, and harvesting with one modular machine.
Hopefully they will include working tramlines markers on the seeders, small thing I know but just increases the realism to the game, dymamic ground should be included too
My gut feel with the “Terrain Deformation” is that they are going to add forming of ruts in open field areas and non-gravel or road areas. It would give more of a reason for wide tires, double tires, and tracks in some situations and weight classes. If they coordinate it with “Dynamic Weather”, then you might have situations where you could really rut up a field or area by driving heavy equipment on it after a big rain and maybe getting stuck in mud might become a thing. Seems like a simpler add for their engine vs the often asked for “Dynamic Terrain” where people want to do landscaping with the in game vehicles and tools.
One thing I am hoping for... Better Mod management! Once you get a few hundred of your favorite mods installed, it becomes a pain to pick which ones you want for a map.
@@farmsimbob I have tried the FSG mod assistant, and others on FS19, but you have to copy all the mods you are using and switch before you load the game. It just gets all too much of a hassle. Even if they just grouped them while picking when loading the map it would help.
Construction missions, ground deformation and the cog symbol on the Q3 pic makes me think they will be adding the ability to move dirt as with excavators etc…
We have yet to see actual gameplay footage, but if the minimum specs listed just now are realistic, and they can pull off that level of detail in trees and crops with fog effects, dynamic weather effects and deformable ground (however shallow) whilst maintaining a decent frame rate, the new giants engine could be something pretty special. There is a bunch of 'ifs' in there and I have no idea which way it will actually turn out. What new British equipment do I think they will add in for the Q4 map expansion? Probably should be Ifor Williams trailers and L200s, is there any UK farm that doesn't use some combination of them (apart from George's)? I'm guessing the Mzuri seeder will be in from the start since they have shown it already.
i wonder if the ground deformation and new weather feature combines to effect the crop if there is too much rain or frost, crop failure due to weather would make hard mode so much more interesting
It means.... a new map, with better detail. I'm working with Oxy on this, so don't worry. The Farm Hadn will continue on FS22 until the next map is ready and then it will carry on for the whole of FS25
I think the stars align might have something to do with dynamic ground in some way. Even the stars align makes sense seems how dynamic ground is something players have been wanting for so long why not charge players for it with an expansion if giants have figured out how to implement it but either don't think it will be ready by launch or just want to charge extra for the feature.
Will be interesting to see what's changed in Giant's editor 10 and how it will impact mapping, I'm about a year in to making a map and thinking with new changes/improvements probably going to be quicker to start over. Can't wait to see gameplay
I technically live on the Canadian prairies, it's lovely land and perfect for farming. Excited to see what Q2 '25 brings! I wonder if Q3 has something to do with mining and gemstones, and maybe a jeweler production?
If you count the crops on the collectors planner, it showed 22 crops, and then later it says "well over 20" -- I don't think 22 is "well over". it's slightly over 20. However. Looking forward to it. As for the "uk map" -- even though I much prefer them over the others, I'm sure oxy will do a much better version anyway (as normal).
I would swap out the rice farming for a more immersive seasons and animal care. Sorry to sound like a broken record but the FS19 mod version with its own geographical weather should of shown Giants how to take the game forward.
The bottom two might be poplar and grass, can't it? Looks like George will sell the farm soon-ish. The new game certainly makes it hard for "the farmhand" since the map will not be in FS25 at least not initially What's the plan there Scroft?
I know that this game series has always been on a shorter release schedule but you're not going to be able to do more than small to moderate changes when you're on a 3 year release window. I feel like they're just releasing a new game pretty much right after they got their stuff out and gave modders time to tinker with what was added with dlcs and get really good mods out this past year only for them to release a "new" game and everyone having to figure out getting their stuff ported over and get used to what changed or has been removed. I feel like 22 is in a pretty good state and the next one should have been pushed back at least a year to have some real big upgrades. Unless what they added is a decent upgrade over the last one and all it's dlc and established mods you're just competing with yourself. This is exactly why i'm not that interested in it unless i see actual gameplay and verifiable screenshots.
I'm interested in seeing how you end up incorporating the farm hand, survival with you and beanie, and also your new career series into FS 25, or will you still be doing it on FS22..
June 25, 2024 I truly hope TFH never leaves the UK. I just can't see Mr. George moving his farm to Asia! I am NOT in the least bit interested in FS25. At least not at the moment.
As far as adding new crops goes I can't believe they went with RICE!!!!! Of all the grains, veggies, and fruits they pick RICE?!?!?!? Huge fail in my eyes. I know there might be a couple of others but to put the focus on rice is kinda whack. Also once again no story mode!!!!! I've been e-mailing once a month since FS15 for a story mode, I guess it would just make the game file too large or it's too complicated to figure out. I've always told them that if you add this addition they would boost their sales at least 25% by bringing in other types of gamers....OH WELL maybe next game.
It's got highland cows on and the standard british farmhouse. But it wouldn't surprise me if Giants are fooling us. I guess we will see. My prediction - It's a map set in Scotland
That’s a shame. It’s not for PS4., Looking like unfortunately having to pack up playing farming playing for seven years it doesn’t justify purchasing the PS5 with the price is being so steep less time for farm simulator you all the best,
I won't be preordering I will wate till it been out 3/4 months there will be bugs that I would rather play without not bothered about the Macdon not bothered about rice ether but it's OK, I'm more interested in the other new crops and enamels. Hoping for les in-game production's mainly the no farming stuff I hope is removed to give use room for more actual farming buildings I was hoping for better AI and in game difficulty so we can have a challenge to get better as we go but don't look like any of that will happen. Overall, it looks good, but I still think it could be better 22 in terms of game play and farming was a downgrade to 19 IMO and It was the opinion of many let's hope this is an upgrade to 19 because it doesn't have to try to be an upgrade to 22 as that's been a downgrade and a big drop off.
Scoft and Beanie get a divorce and Scroft goes of to travel the world... ends up learning Asian farming methods. George expands to a global "empire" and lets Scroft run a farm in Asia. (silly idea, I know lol)
I'm stoked that it's been announced, every iteration of FS has been an improvement, I'm all for that change. I'm excited to see "Ground Deformation". I'm hoping this means Land Graders, Laser Graders and check banks for flood irrigation (Aussie things). Maybe even an Aussie Map.
You could be spot on. I think scotland might be the correct call. It's either that or Ireland. Or the lake district. But I think Scotland is my new favorite call 👍
Not super hyped about a UK map as that's probably the most represented region on modhub already really, can't stand playing maps with gates and walls everywhere... also not a big fan of huge US maps, they tend to be just flat with fields and roads that are straight as a ruler, no character at all
if those screenshots are from FS25 itself my fears are confirmed, just a stupid reskin, no generational leap (now decades behind already) hard pass again as i did on 22, the first i didn't buy after being loyal to the brand. I'm extremely fed up. Vote with your WALLET!
@@AndreaFromTokyo yes I have and I'm also worried about the graphics just from looking at those screenshots but I still think we need proper gameplay to fully see how it is. And also of course we all are going to have different expectations and everything
One of the other streamers I follow did a live stream during the release and,he said he could talk about it now. So I guess certain people knew ahead of time about it
giants take more off us for a less of a game sorry no hate scoff just a bit sick we getting non finished game we do not even get a working radio station giving out the weather and sails of the day in the store all about mods all over making big streamers happy like fs22 they have more of a say then the customers
