Farnsworth House Sweney's Tavern Outside Dining - Gettysburg Pa 

I've done the Farnsworth House followed by Mr. G's so many times I've lost count. So nice to sit outside and just relax.... In the colder months the Tavern inside has a nice ambience and a larger menu. Both places are very good and in a great location close to both the town center and the battlefield. John/Bobbie- thanks for another informative video.

My fav place in Gettysburg. Love grabbing a drink and just sitting on the metal patio chairs

I'm a bartender in the garden. Great video! Good food choices too. Next time try our homemade crab cakes or meatloaf dinner. Both are excellent. Plus we have a fantastic jumbo soft pretzel with beer cheese. Come back and see us again! If you come around 10:00 a.m. the owner and his wife are usually working in the garden. They bought the place in 1972. Great family to work for.

So glad your videos came up in my Watch List! I absolutely love Gettysburg and The Farnsworth! We always sit outside, have some drinks and people watch. Their meatloaf is amazing! Also, during Christmastime, there's always a fire going in the pit and then you'll Christmas Carols start and everyone starts singing! It's really fun!!

Both of your food selections looked delicious, however, I’ve never tried goat cheese. You made me nervous at the end with all the 🐝! They were probably attracted to the peach 🍑 trees. You forgot to mention the pock marks in the brick from the musket fire during the battle of gettysburg. Huge historical artifact that helps make the gettysburg experience so real.

Absolutely loved this vid and your content on Sweeney’s Tavern. It’s lunchtime and you made me hungry. We had Ice Creme there at that Ice cream shop with our kids many years ago. Up the street from there is, I think 2 witness trees, that were there during the battle. I hope they are still there. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Very much enjoyed.

Check out the Cash Town Inn ! It's very close to Gettysburg! They say it is haunted! Served as HW for Confederate Army and later a Field Hospital after the battle!

That peach flatbread looks wonderful! I enjoy all of those things: peaches, goat cheese, balsamic. This restaurant looks like a wonderful place! A few weeks ago, I was up to my ears in cherries, which I processed and froze to use at the holidays, and baked muffins. Today, I'm up to my ears in peaches. Processing some to freeze, and making a couple of peach cobblers for the neighbors. Fall is coming!

great review LOL hope they finally got the computer system fixed, they were having a heck of a time with it last time i was there. that was our go too place during events and when i lived in town when i got off duty , got cleaned up and walked on over and hung out. the Bangers & Mash are real good too. also a great spot for people watching

goat cheese is tangy. when you shop pick up some goat cheese, usually in small amounts, and try. nice on a cracker or added to a salad. goat cheese does not have all the sugar you find in cow milk products.

The outside setting is beautiful! THE FOOD SUCKS! Don't waste your time on this place! Visit Gettysburg a couple times a year and we were highly disappointed with the food! Had to come home and make something to eat!!!
