More videos needed.

At first I was looking at the words and was getting the pronounciations wrong almost every time, but now I can get it right almost every time. There's no way that I'll be able to speak as fast as you though... :P

Yes, you have to make some more, these are great. Hardest part is to learn to speak and how to pronounce correctly :) Thanks for this.

Hello, Heimspekingur! I am Norwegian, and have a bet with my friend. We'll both learn a language we don't know, and then go visit the countries where they speak those languages.... and so I decided I would learn Faroese! I got my hands on the book "An Introduction to Faroese" by W.B Lockwood, and tried to find language courses in Oslo. The only one I found was a course that the University had 'till 2010, but not anymore. Such a pity! Anyways, thanks a lot for the videos you have made so far!

@jonathan19960804 yes, you're right, you can get by only using those four, but there is a politer version of 'you' which is 'tygum', mostly used when speaking to elderly people. It's very formal, though, and I wouldn't recommend using it.

When you speak slowly I can make out the meaning of most sentences (as a Dutch speaker with very limited knowledge of Norwegian and Danish), but when you speak fast (or at normal speed I guess), it goes straight over my head. Also, the spelling is an extra hurdle

I, as well as everyone else I know, would never say: 'hvat eitur...?' but 'hvussu eitur...?'

I'm a spanish speaker. I also speak english. Could somebody pls write down the phonetics of hvar? I can't pronounce it well. It's hard i must say, but w a good phonetic background, if i have faroese phonetics it'd be easier for me to get the excact pronuntiation. Great vid btw!

Omg Faroese people skip so many words when they pronounce stuff colloquially!
