The farrier's role is to care for the horse. This is a video of my Dad, Larry who is a master farrier. This is a tribute to him and the profession. Larry Davis, Davis Hoof Care, Whatcom County.
I love this video. Years ago I graded from the Wolverine Farrier School in Howell, MI. Sadly, though I love horses and loved the forge work, I had to recognize that I simply didn’t have the eye to shape the hoof correctly and then make a shoe to fit. Nowadays I satisfy my love by volunteering at the East Tennessee Miniature Horse and Donkey Rescue.
This videos a year old so I feel a little weird commenting but I'm doing a video soon for my brother in law and ive been watching other videos just to educate myself or whatever but I loved this. The video was beautiful, You're dad seems super sweet and passionate about what he's doing and really seems to love it. I love this so much. Amazing work.
Very nice, I understand what he is saying about the lost art of horsemanship and taking care of people and their horses, it is very gratifying. Enjoyed the video and hope to see more.
The initiator of this video should have been aware of the fact that there are a lot of people who can't understand the spoken comment (= English subtitles!).
