Team up with First Lite for an exclusive Spector FAS pack collaboration! Imagine the awesomeness! I'm throwing out the idea, and in return, how about hooking me up with a fully loaded one for free? Let's make this epic partnership a reality, Tethrd Nation!
We need a durable waist strap on here. I think I might actually have my mystery ranch tree-stand pack waist strap sewn onto this pack. Taking weight off of the shoulders has proven to be key during long distance movements in the military. I've rucked into deep hunts, testing my current pack with the straps, the strain on my shoulders was relatively high but easy fix if you guys considered it! Cant wait to get mine! Keep killing it guys!
I agree. I used it until my pack was getting heavy on the shoulders. I have a 2 mile walk in and a 2 mile walk out. My shoulders were burning. A switched to another pack with a waist belt. Considerable difference. I love the FAS pack pockets and almost everything about it. I wish it was bigger for later season hunts and a waist belt. I understand why it is what it is. I think it was designed to where your saddle in. But I don’t.
I’m waiting for my One sticks and stealth strips! Can’t wait for them to come in! Thanks guys. Awesome products. Thanks for serving in the military too. Love to support that.
Awesome pack. I’ve been looking at packs for a long time and just haven’t been able to pull the trigger on one. I love the modularity of this one. I’ll have to check it out when it goes live. You guys are having so much fun. Good for you. Keep it up.
If you’re prior Military just add the “Molle II Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment Waist Pack”. It has large waist strap buckles. FYI Tethrd this is something to look into!! I use it to hold my sticks as well.
You guys should make a pouch to attach to the FAS that will accommodate a rappel rope with a MadRock or other kind of belay device. External pouches for a footloop and hand ascender and a pull down rope. That would be the perfect addition to you pouch lineup.
I love the pack and setup. Very functionable. It is still not for large individuals even with the adjustment to the straps. There should be a XL version, like the saddles, that is a little wider so the straps work better for large shoulders. Even with 18 pounds it still causes too much shoulder pain. Long walks are not good.
Greg -- Loved the breakdown on the FAS pack. You mentioned using "trash bags" for meat pack-out, and then specifically mentioned "compactor bags". Was that because many standard plastic trash bags are treated with chemicals that make them biodegradable and mask trash odors? Is that not the case with "compactor bags"? If so, great! If not, I wouldn't recommend putting game meat in any standard trash bag for the chemical treatment considerations mentioned above. One option might be to use the oversized Ziplock-type sealable storage bags that are safe and designed for food products.
I like this pack. I was able to use mine for the last few hunts of the season and like the design and packability of it, although it is a little noisy.
Im going to wait until it evolves to where it has a little lumbar support and a padded waist belt because I have modified my Allen Bruiser pack to do everything this has.
Phone as camera is a KILLER strategy, they only extra gear needed is the arm and maybe power bank, which if you run a DeWalt heated jacket with cord extension like I do with a 10AH 20v battery in a dump pouch, you'll have plenty of power all day
how you carrying those blackRacks Carl. Just got my pack..THIS IS WORTH THE MONEY so FAR..havent got to get it out yet..but damn..it is awesome..moved all my gear over..and its fantastic. Compression straps..KILLER..pouches..KILLER..
Only piece of kit missing is a baggy full of left over Halloween candy lmao. Great looking pack. Looks almost perfect. I'm 50/50 on the waist belt. I know a lot of people are shocked it doesn't come with one but, in my experience it tends to get in the way when trying to haul up a tree. But would be great fr hiking in. I also dislike a ton of wait on my shoulders. In. perfect world a removable wait belt would be amazing, but when the pack is already at $400 (not including the predator pack). I'm sure a waist belt would have jacked the price even higher out of the majority of hunters budgets. As far as the price, I almost choked, cried a little and closed the browser. I wont hate on it thought. They set a goal to make it American made because that's important to them. Props to Tethrd for that. Unfortunately very far out of my price range for the foreseeable future. This would have made a great deer & turkey Hunting/dayhiking/photography outing carry on backpack. Maybe one day.
For me, the only downside (again from my point of view) is the lack of a waist belt. I know you said you could use the male/female compression strap, but if you had nice lumbar and kidney padded waist belt, especially for long hikes/hauling lots of weight, it would be undoubted the best pack for me. Regardless, I think you guys nailed this! Awesome pack.

If you’re looking for a pack with a waist belt, this may not be it. I would suggest something like the Shapecharge from Kifaru if wanting a bit more pack.
Carl, what kind of binocular cover do you have on your 8 x 32 and what was that strap you use to hang them onto your hys strap? I've been looking for a better system to keep my binos in my pack other than putting my whole harness on and off and stuffing it in my pack when i'm climbing. Thanks!
This pack is obviously for private ground, not going that far from truck. We hunt state gameland and it's a battle. The further we walk in the better. Lightweight is better.
Any thoughts on clothing designed for saddle hunters? Not really a special pattern rather a design where pockets do not interfere with the saddle. A jacket that works around your bridge. Chest pockets rather than waist pockets. Thoughts?
What fluid head do you have on the lone wolf camera arm? I see that it’s fde or od green I also use my phone and would love to find the one you have! Thanks
Can I put mid weight jacket And my phantom saddle in the big pouch???? I hunt 2 plus miles back on public land so I like to pack all my gear in to my location.
Where do you place your meat when you’re successful.? Not sure where a full quartered whitetail is going if your going deep??? Lots of talk about the gear and pockets and stuff but not packing out meat.
Could I run my bow or rifle on the backpack? Need a pack to transport my bow or gun when I ride my ebike. Plus use it when I hunt out of hang on. This looks like it could be the one. The size looks perfect!!
Absolutely. You can do anything with this pack...transport your bow or gun, carry all your gear effortlessly, become more desirable to beautiful women, solve world hunger, and get along with your mother-in-law. It's truly a do-all pack.
look up bowspider for ur bow i love the versatility i have one on my current pack n my marsupial bino harness. ill be putting a puck on my fas when it comes in
@andrewpica2473 i will for sure when it comes in i love it though! 8d send u one on my current pack but im in the middle of the ocean on a cruise roght now lol
I like it but unfortunately I literally just got an Eblerstock Bandit, which I really like so maybe my "Financial Advisor" (my wife) will allow the purchase in 2023 lol
Man I really wanted one until I went on the website and saw the price. I will never pay $400 for a backpack. Also saw a lineman rope for $75 !!! A 8 foot piece of rope and a caribiner!! That’s insane and a complete ripoff to hunters in my opinion.
