Its great to hear a photographer mention grain and the roughness to the image. A refreshing change to the usual 'it has to be tack sharp'. I've yet to see the rules and law on why photographs have to be so sharp they cut you. Thank You
I did a picture in a similar location and at night here in Miami Beach. I owned an older DSLR and the issue I ran into was that the autofocus in the dark does not work so I manual focus it and as I struggle focusing I thought if only I brought a flashlight. Love the mood and grain in the shot Daniel!
Love this shot! I'm guessing this was shot using one of those long-extinct 800ASA press films? I haven't done anything exactly like this but i have done some with moody overcast skies and flash that work on the same principles (expose for the background and then light the subject).
ive always used Led's for night shoots , Ive only been shooting less than 10 years so I guess I'm spoilt some what . Ive tried using flash at night but not a fan tbh I always find its way better using led as you get much better ambient background & bokeh ..
