aw this is such a great idea!! im glad i came across this because ive always wanted a maxi dress but they were always out of my budget and plus i have heaps of fabric remaining at home from my mum so thanks alot! this was really helpful :-)

Hello. Thank you for this tutorial. Its very well explained, however i dont understand something. Does the width of the fabric have be 42" and then you fold it? So when you unfold it its 84"? Or is it 42" all together and when folded in half it becomes 21"? Im sorry, it may be a stupid question. Im a beginner. Thanks

hi :) you can make it a v line from the waist up and would also be flowy from the top and larger from the shoulders shoulders :) hope that makes sense :) have an awesome day :)

it depends on what kind of fabric it is. But, you can do a zigzag stitch and would help with the future fraying. Without, needing extra fabric. Hope this helps, Rachel :) Have an awesome day :)

for this dress, you can use a non stretchy fabric just make sure that you add about three more inches in your hip length so its easier to put on. Or you can also ad a zipper along the back portion of the dress :) Thanks for watching and good luck with the dress :_
