Hello Dr Bennett This video is about the Gen2 adapters which were a 2 position design, sport and touring, and only about 2 percent of customers were using the sport position. Because the touring position was more important we eliminated the sport position on the gen3 adapter and that gave us the opportunity to perfect the riding position. All we offer now is the gen3 and it’s the most comfortable adapter yet!!
Harry Eddy Thank you for the quick reply. I have the Goldwing Tour six speed. Should I expect to encounter clutch cable and line issues? I saw one other guy who had.
@@dr.michaelbennett8597 Hey, Doc. I just installed mine today and followed the instructions Tony gave in his product review on HeliBar's website. No pics or anything, but it was detailed enough to get the job done. Took a little extra time to adjust the grommets, but it definitely added more play to the cables.
I just ordered the risers. After watching your install video and Fred Harmons install video, he goes through a few extra steps and am just wondering if its needed to do ? He adjusted the clip and support that the console snaps into + adjusted a clamp with cables near where the new riser go.
Looks like a great idea. I assume the tour placement is the same handlebar angles (rider reach) as the standard set up, just higher. How far forward does the sport position move at the bar end?
Shaneev C The tour position is 5/8” taller and 2 3/4” closer to the rider. Sport position is 5/8 taller, 3/4” further forward and 1 1-4” wider than stock.
I'm curious if You've had a chance to do an install on an Airbag model, and develop a quick way to get the switch panel off those. Since there's no glovebox to open, it has me wondering. Full disclosure. I haven't purchased one yet, but I'm gathering as much pre-purchase info as I can about them.
jamieweirdworld I have not personally done an airbag installation yet, but if you look at the comments on my fast first 2018 GoldWing video, one of our customers has and he talks about it.
Heliboy I'm ready for a set of these. I have the dreaded burn between the shoulder blades on long rides due to having TRex arms. Do you have a picture that shows how much the bars are moved up and back, Camera stationary then pic of stock bar location then pic after install of adapters? Jim
