In the season of the Spiritborn, I appreciate quality Sorcerer content like this! It encourages me to keep working on my Sorc even though bugs make Spiritborn and even Fireball way stronger; Chain Lightning is some of the most fun I've had in D4 since launch, and I love how the build feels to play! I'm curious about how to build out my Sorc: I got a Tyrael's Might with a GA on the Resist Max, which makes getting super-tanky crazy easy, but I fear that my damage just isn't as potent without Shroud of False Death. I'm working on getting the runes for Heir of Perdition and Ring of Starless Skies, but I can't help but wonder if I should be building toward Shroud instead? Do you have any thoughts/suggestions?
In my Chain Lightning build guide, I go over why I don't use Shroud, but that's primarily for Pit pushing. Should be fine for all other content. I would get Starless Skies first as most Sorc builds rely on it.
Awesome build! Loving it! I'm using the Perdition+Splintering combo and it is FUN! zapping enemies left and right. But the build is very squishy even if all accessories slot have Skull slotted. I use Shroud of False Death with Yellow MW on All Stats to get more out of the Paragon Nodes. I noticed in the skill tree (Splintering -Pit Push) that you have 2 to warmth passive, my barriers are always up all the time is it better if I go Icy Veil instead? Also I'm using Flickering step for the 2.5 Evade CDR is it better to get Orange Herald Aspect?
I wouldn’t use Icy Veil since Ice Armor is typically up before the barrier expires. Warmth is basically an ‘oh shit’ passive that shoots you back up to full health if you take dmg (aside from getting one shot). Flickerstep has no armor, so make sure you are armor capped if using them. I still prefer regular boots with orange herald.
Which build of your builds do you recommend for those who like speed farming? i use the build of teleport infinity, but i dont have much damage nice video !
Thank you for your video . I have 2 questions 1. if I use false death instead of raiment, how slower will be in T90? 2. why you use runes to increase critic chance? my critic chance is 95% without any runes
No ones gear is identical. Gar rune is used for those that aren’t at 100% crit chance. I used it when I was at 90% because the splintering variant wants 100%. I’m no longer using that rune as I put Crit Chance on my focus instead of CDR. I cover shroud in my breakdown video with Kry rune. Should be fine for 90s, but I won’t use it for 100+ (pit pushing).
This is slightly different from what I've seen so far. Definitely faster than what I'm currently using although my gear and paragon are not at this level. I'll be happy if my 80s look like your 90s. Appreciate the showcase it's given me something to think about. Getting all your CL hits twice between pants and off-hand and running a fire/cold surge on the weapon is neat.
I cover my variants in my build guide (minus shako version). Chain Lightning to hit twice between the Pants/Focus is EXTREMELY hard to do and relatively unrealistic as it puts you at 99% and not 100%. So achieving that between 3 pieces is easier to do.
You can try putting points into Potent Warding in the skill tree. Otherwise it will be putting paragon points into paragon board which can take a while.
If you try these builds with average or above average gear you will be atleast 8-10 pit levels lower to get anywhere near what she is doing. She has almost all quad GA perfect rolled uniques and great mythics…. Also rest of gear and tempers are perfect. It’s a cool video but it’s like saying anyone can be a NFL quarterback or a NASCAR driver when only 1: 1,000,000 is more accurate lol… gives false hope to people who want to be strong still but don’t want to play spirit born. I have lvl 100 glyphs and identical gear basically for rolls just not 3-4 GAs and you struggle to do a pit 75 in 5 mins.. and I am a sorc main so I above average at playing and theory crafting sorc builds etc. again not throwing shade or anything it’s just that 99% of people will never be able to do what your doing cause noone has that gear or even close to it lol.. and that’s why your speed running 80-90 while most people on sorc are speed running 60-65
I agree, but what I will also say, is she does provide a good foundation. I also main a sorc and have been since season 0, and I can clear a Pit 85, but I can't speedrun 80's. I don't have a great necklace, my focus needs work, my sword is FINE but it isn't outstanding. So we're kind of in the same boat, but the build is still fun and I can work off her build to create a variant that will allow me to push high-ish (for a sorc). If I clear a Pit 90-95 - I'm golden. And that's kind of a reach, but achievable.
This is a showcase to show where one can end up with the build and I still have a little room for improvement despite my current gear. I started this build before I had a single GA piece. I have 3 single GA pieces-2 of which are mythics and the amulet (most important for dmg). The 3 & 4 GAs aren’t that significant. A little extra lucky hit chance or potent warding isn’t going to make or break this build. On my guide, I explain which GAs to be on the lookout for. Compared to other seasons, some of the pieces are a fraction of the price and quite affordable-since everyone is on SB. I’ve gotten lots of feedback that people are able to clear 90s using my build. I understand that my gear is quite out of reach for the average player, but I play a lot and I should not have to equip all single GA gear to appease comments like this. With GG gear like this equipped and the struggle to do barely over 100 Pits, my hope is Blizzard will see this as a need for major buffs to this spec and sorc in general.
Just to double check, I replaced most of my gear with un-masterworked, single GA pieces, ran with NO runes, used an old sword/focus. I completed a Pit tier 80 in 2mins and 50 secs. I'm not going to upload the video here, but I'll be streaming later tonight. Feel free to stop by and I'll show you the vid.
@@aphrorox if you read my comment you can clearly see I didn’t mean to throw shade..? I never said your guide wasn’t good or your explanation. I am saying what I said cause people watch the video and the comments get flooded with “how do I do that dmg and how do I clear that out etc etc” so was just trying to make sure people know that you make it look very easy with your gear.. it is 20x harder for most players as they don’t have any gear with double Ga let alone 4GA lol…
I understand what you're saying. So to double check, as stated in my second comment, I replaced all the gear I could with single GA, completely unmasterworked gear, not a single rune and cleared 80 in under 3 minutes. I'm not trying to give unrealistic expectations.
You're free to use whichever you like. But these boots do nothing for the build that Orange Herald can't do. They have a bunch of dead stats on them as well.
Prioritize maxing glyph areas, grab legendary nodes and get your resists/HP nodes active. Lesser important nodes like Lucky Hit on Frigid Fate board can wait until the end.
