Getting an electric powered, deep vee RC boat to run at that speed for such a length of time, is a real achievement. Well done Mr. Adams! I've seen the video where you show a smaller version of this boat with basically the same running gear (albeit with smaller Lipo's). For sure, I'd love to see that one run!
Hi Patrick. The races are 20 minutes long. So I have to dial the power back a bit with a 500KV motor. The race we won at Bristol docks, only used about 20,000mah as is was quite choppy water and had to be careful. The sprint races are shorter, so hope to use this setup for those, with slightly smaller (and lighter) lipos.
Hi Vince. There is a calendar on the OMRA site. They don't race them at Elmbridge, as the lake is too small. The next race I am doing is the Isle of Wight August 25/26
2 of those batteries in series gives you 45.6 volts from what i make it.. 22.8 volts each. x 2 - 45.6 volts , unless you got another 4.4 volt added somewhere ?
