@@craiglieberman Gotta say, as a kid who grew up watching F&F movies, my interest and taste in cars are completely influenced by you and the picture car team.
Theres a famous video from filming Lethal Weapon where a car is supposed to jump through a glass facade while two window-washers duck aside. In one take (allegedly partially used in the movie), they get the timing wrong and one stunt-guy gets hit in the head by the car. He survived, apparently.
We can think whatever we want about the franchise currently but one thing we can't do: sub estimate the job of those who not only elaborate the action scenes we see on screen but also those who actually make them real on camera. Brave work from brave people that deserves recognition for their work on Fast and Furious and other productions for tv and theaters.
Fast 9 is supposed to have a sequel in space?? What if the series is getting so crazy from street racing because it’s really a child playing with his toys lol
I'm a big fan of watching car stunts, whether if it's old or new, seeing various car chases and jumps always puts a smile on my face. And seeing the behind the scenes makes me appreciate the movies a bit more. And while the later F&F movies steered clear of what put it on the map, I still have a soft spot for the over the top nature of the car stunts and crashes.
Can you find someone to talk about the 1st F&F night time scene where Brian first races his Eclipse. A few of us were there as extras and it be cool to see how all that got organized.
Hey Craig love the videos that you have been putting out for us but could you possibly make a video more on your personal life on how you got into the car scene and maybe more info on all of the cars you have owned I know you made videos on cars in the franchise but what about the other ones that you had said you owned I personally think it would be very interesting.
*I remember a scene from a behind the scences segment on the 2F2F DVD that said that the GTR managed the bridge jump flawlessly, only needing a change of tires.* *Any validity to this?*
I heard in Fast Five they crashed a black MKIV Supra filming the garage scene, trying to get around a corner of the garage. I also heard in 6, when they drop cars from a plane, one of the subarus landed upside down. They use ALOT OF SUBARUS for that one!😆
fast and the furious keep the legacy going and I'll stop make 100 more thousand and females movies🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯💯💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇😀
I’m not sure if you’re in the Cali area, but you should gang up with the Corridor Crew guys to make a ‘React To’ video about best/worst car scenes in movies.
Yep the memes stay true to the plot development from humble street racing, gang violence, family connection. To now action pack American defense budget level fighting and gun fights, driving cars into space (possibly), huge next level heists and family
I know they wont, but I wish fast 10 would be a reset, like a Tokio Drift movie... New characters, new scenes, plot based on cars and racing instead of insanity and unbelievable stunts🤷♂️ (I’ll probably see the movie either way)
@@ReallyPhilly215 Right!? Like, Muscle cars are cool, but they should be a small portion of the cars that should be represented in the films... Id like some more Asian and Euro Tuners personally 🤷♂️
@@mro4ts457 why should they be a small portion? muscle cars are still a huge part of car culture and they're not gonna change the movies just because you don't like them. Go watch tokyo drift if you don't like muscle cars.
@@vegas426 you’re angry with SWP... All I was saying is that all car cultures should be represented and there’s been an over saturation of muscle cars in the series lately... Like Dodge is cool, but there’s other car manufacturers too bro
They actually did show off different car types apart from Dodge, such as various European supercars, a Middle Eastern hypercar, several oldies in Cuba, several concept cars, etc. While I get your distain for the direction the franchise has taken, I feel like they have some charm to the different kinds of cars they used in every subsequent movie. Of course, I'm one of the few people that doesn't boycott a new movie for not being Tokyo Drift 2.0 (much as I'd like to see a continuation to that story and setting), and I think there is some merit to how the franchise branched out, though I felt like it ended nicely with part 7, but that's just me.
Hold up. Fast 9 really will take place in space.I saw a meme years ago of Dom on a charger in space with fast 9 on it with a bit on the bottom saying "cause theres no where else to go but up"
Craig, I just want to say your channel is awesome and you're doing a great job. I love the insights you give behind the movies and the cars. It makes for great listening while I'm currently working from home and it's certainly making these strange times a bit more enjoyable 😃
Rocket powered car in space, tyres dont dissolve re-entering atmosphere and they just happily parachute to the ground and keep rolling. Its what you come to expect these days.
I would like to see a video with information on the short film that depicts Brian's travel from LA to Miami. The car he left LA in. The cars he raced to get money on his travels. The car lot where he supposedly found the Skyline and such.

I am almost finished with your book. Very good read! I am just getting into the picture car mechanic scene and your book really gave me a different perspective of what to expect.
I always hated it when nice or rare cars are wrecked for a movie...thinking of one of the recent mission impossible movies where they wrecked original BMW E28 M5s...just sad...
@@gezzamate3916 Go check it out, its fuckin crazy man. They strap a chick to a hood of a car, an race down a backroad at 90mph smashign into each other, its fucking crazy
If you're gonna list actors famously doing their own stunts, as I understand it it's absolutely obligatory to mention Keanu Reeves here in the interwebs ;)
I aint impressed with ANY FnF stuff since FnF3 ....till then they were still car movies about "outlaws" doing not so legal stuff.....now they're hyped up 007 movies
Sky diving cars from planes? 2 cars dragging a vault? multiple cars harpooning one car in place? 4 police dodge chargers racing each others? cars driving through and between trucks and buildings? 90% of all of these stunts were actually done with practical cars. Yes, they used a repkcuia cault to drag it across peurto rico. Yes, they dropped 4 cars off of a plane with a parachute. Yes, they also drove a gtr right underneath a truck.

Awesome as per usual craig, and as you wore it what do you think of the mondeo st200 the boys are restoring? Do you Think it would of suited any fast productions? lol
Hey Craig, I recreated your BMW in NFS Heat, the Xbox one version tho, if it's already shared and if you see it I hope you liked it, it took a little to make and i had to use what was available to me for sponsor stickers, cuz heat didn't have like all of the best sponsor stickers
8:06 that may be made for a Playstation, but it;'s a serious racing sim wheel/pedals, as in, not something you buy at a store, but buy from the maker for a few grand
