I'll probably get variegated if they're not overpriced, but I don't feel deprived that I don't buy them lol. I adore "unvariegated" just as much as the variegated, I can't see why they cost 200x more. Just overhyped, in my opinion
Harli can you do a video about plants that you've had since the very beginning of your plant journey? like insert clips/pics of the plants when they were babies and how they look now, and talk about what you've learned/what you'd do differently? also idk about anyone else but i would LOVE another "plant shop with me" or "thrift for planty accessories with me" or even "day in my life/spend a day with me" type of video where it's more casual and we feel like we're just hanging out with you! we're in Lockdown #2 here in Germany so i haven't seen my friends since the beginning of november, so it would be so fun to "hang out" with you!
I have 150 plants right now and just sold almost 100 too. I have killed every pothos I’ve had! It’s just the one plant I can’t keep alive yet almost everyone has one 😂
Definitely my marble queen pothos, she just keeps climbing her moss pole! I got a weak philodendron burle marx from my local nursery 2 months ago, it was a pot of just yellow leaves and barely enough soil to keep it in the pot. Now 2 months later, it's made a full recovery and spits out new growth all over! Would love to see a video of all the slow growing plants, ones I would probably avoid because I need instant grat haha
My Croton grows like a weed in the Spring & Summer. And I had two blooms on the same plant (different stalks) this past late Summer (I have a grow light on it and under a window) My arrowheads grow pretty quickly too. And my peperomia ginny (I believe that’s what they are) So exciting when new leaves pop up on the ginnys and croton and the furled up leaves unfurl on the arrowheads 😍
Most people dont give them enough light because they can survive in low light. My dad didnt know better and put his in direct sun for most of the afternoon and he had to repot 5x this summer because it kept doubling
Thanks for giving me 3 more plants to add to my wishlist lol my tetrasperma is doing this weird thing where when it grows a new leave it has like "bruises" on itself...it's like brown lines or patches kinda... anyone know what that is!? are the leaves fighting each other while I am sleeping!?
I don't like pink but pink hoya are amazing!!!!! Syngonuim are crazy growers especially white butterfly. String of hearts is my fastest atm, it is crazy!
Love pink leaves. My Krimson queen put out some pink leaves. Then they turned white. 😩 My string of hearts grows like crazy. And of course, pothos. Thanks for the video!
For me the fastest one by far has always been scindapsus argyraeus, and the spider plant which has a bit wider leaves with the variegation on the outside, I think it's "ocean"? Oh and also alocasia lauterbachiana, it hasn't noticed winter and the constant darkness here in Finland, pushing out new leaves all the time. Such weeds. And definitely also the scindapsus exotica, I can't understand why people say it's a slow growing plant. Have it growing upwards on a plant wall and it has grown almost two metres and reached the ceiling in 8 months!
I’m SO excited I have like 6 of the plants you mentioned! My house is relatively low light so I bought grow lights about a month ago and I can’t wait to see how much they’ll grow! They’ve already grown so much!
My fastest growing houseplants are Epipremnum pinnatum "Blue form" (not Cebu Blue) and Ceropegia woodii. You cant stop Ceropegia, mine is bloom since April
Hi Harli! This was fun. I love plants with pink in the leaves, or pink flowers. The only plants I have with pink right now are Holiday Cactus, but will be watching for a Chinese Evergreen with pink in the leaves. My fastest growing are my golden pothos, Scindapsus Pictus, Brazil Philo, Heartleaf Philo and Marble Queen Pothos. Thank you so much for sharing! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Harli, your skin is looking amazing!! Now it's as beautiful as you are 💚. Speaking if liking variegation or not...I really am not attracted to most variegated plants. I love my philodendron brasil, my spider plant, schefflera and algerian ivy, but I don't love the variegated monsteras, syngoniums or most really expensive, currently popular plants. I just don't understand the hype, lol
I heard the other day in a facebook group that hoya polyneura is a fast grower. I was thinking the same thing, that I don't understand why it's so hard to find and so expensive (besides that there's ridiculous demand right now). I know someone with both non-TC and TC tetrasperma and she noted the TCs grow faster! Mine has pushed out 4 leaves in the last couple weeks. It's bonkers!
“It’s so big....and growy...”🌿😂 That made me laugh, I love your videos Harli & you look gorgeous!!💚💛 my philodendron Brazil has been growing like crazy same with my monstera adansonii and Pilea!
I would say my rhaphidophora tetrasperma is my fastest growing plant in my collection 🥰 it’s popped out 2 new leaves and I’ve had it for 2-3 weeks now! Question- do you quarantine your new plants from others or are you just careful about what plants you bring home since you have such a large collection?
Love your videos... I decided to try to comment more on the subscriptions I follow so, here it is.... Um...our babies are the same age...and I saw his sweet little face and our boys look like they could be brothers....maybe cousins...Thanks for posting videos...It gives me a mini escape from normal all day mommy duties
@@adriatic_alice1071 My burgundy definitely grows faster than my ruby, but I get at least a leaf or two every month/ month and a half. I have em pretty close to lights. Maybe a grow light will help it out! But honestly I can't tell what I'm collecting houseplants or grow lights, its hard to say...
I feel like I'm constantly looking for pink, purple, red, and orange plants to balance out all the green. Then when they are all together it's even more amazing to see all the pops of color, makes the green look even better to have the contrast :)
I would so love to get a lemon lime Maranta. But I live in Sydney Australia and it seems like they are only available to private collectors here. If anyone knows any different please let me know. Love the plants. At the moment my adensonii is officially my fastest growing plant. We are having a wet summer here so far and it is shooting up growing to new leaves a week at least. Plants are Loving the humidity, my hair, not so much.
What is tissue and non tissue culture? I've never heard that term before! But my rapidophora also grows super fast!! I bought it with 2 pathetic leaves in september and now I have like, 12 leaves!
I guess my fastest plant is my Golden Pothos. My largest Vanda orchid is speeding up, though. It's getting ginormous with about 5'3" again, although I've just cut it in half a couple of months ago. Love your videos, please keep them coming! :)
The lemon lime maranta never stops growing! I have always had the green and the red varieties but none of the garden centers ever get the lemon lime. After seeing how well yours did, I broke down and ordered one with a plant group online. It was a baby with 4 leaves and one year later, it has 22 and I am pretty sure I cut two off. I love it!
My fastest plant would be string or chain of hearts!! It never stops! I've had it a mintha dnt it's doubled in size since then! My other fast grower is def prayer plant maranta and mini monstera(tetrasperma)! Love all my plants but the fast growers are so fun!
My fastest growing plants are the tradescantia fluminensis and my Solenostemon (Coleus) a plant I don´t see in any youtuber plant house but here in Spain is very common to have it at home, amazing colours and super easy to grow and propagate.
so ive found that with my syngonium they grow leaves pretty quickly but they take a lil longer to unfurl. so my plant has like 4 leaves waiting to unfurl and still pushing out more leaves? like where are my plants priorities? idk
I’ve had my ZZ plant in low light in my not very well lit apartment. All my plants die here but I’ve only had it for 6 months and have two shoots of new growth!
My N'joy hasn't seemed to have grown in a year! It is just a cute little table top plant. But sometimes I think it might as well not even be real. Does nothing. :(
My calathea makoyana grows so fast! Like 5 leaves a month or so! Also other plants that are growing fast for me are the tradescantia zebrina, peperomia watermelon, red anthurium, monstera adansonii, alocasia odora, philodendron silver sword and boston fern! :D
My string of hearts grows like a weed I have to cut it back multiple times a year and just end up giving the cuttings away to friends because I can only justify making so many propagations 😂
Oh man I want that incana. I was disappointed not to see your exotica again. It can appear in every video if you like. Obviously pothos/heartleaf/raphi as everyone has mentioned, but other plants that grow vigorously for me/trail Pep polyboytra Pep angulata Pep graveolins Aloe Piper (plain green one) Mini Amazon lily Epipremnum pinnatum dragon tail Pilea glauca Pilea cadieri Actually, calathea zebrina grows very well too, but it is on the balcony. I finally got a Cebu blue - no mean feat in Australia. It has four leaves so will see how it goes. Yours is to die for. My string/chain of hearts doesn't grow ' a foot a month' as some people have described here. Sometimes I wonder if I have them in too much light.
My fastest growing are my Melanochrysum, scindapsus pictus aurgyreus, and my non- tissue culture rhap tetrasperma! I wish my polyneura grew fast! First six months it didn’t grow at all!!!
My Monstera Adansonii grows like crazy! And for some reason this past month my Begonia Maculata has put out 25 new leaves??? (3 different stems). It never grows this fast especially in winter! And I LOVE PINK PLANTS
