My son leaves for USMC San Diego Boot camp Monday. His MOS is security forces. Gonna miss him. I was in Marine Corps from 1987 to 1992.

@@voidvpn5470 not necessarily. Many go to FAST (Security Forces) prior to Infantry - 2 years at both.

When I was in jan 01- jan 05 they went everywhere EXCEPT Iraq and Afghanistan but that later changed

Daniel Garcia, If you are able to do a lat move to Security Forces F.A.S.T., I would def do it brother. I got a lot of good training out of it. You will do AUC and CQB shit and if you are an expert with a rifle, then you may get selected into DMR school. Also MARSOC likes recruiting F.A.S.T. Marines, since we have a lot of good training. Also PT is very challenging if you get a crazy Plt Commander like I did. I was in 3F5.
