I've had only the tymo ring and am about to try a flat iron for the first time. I noticed you only did one pass, which I guess is why you didn't need the heat glove. I usually do a lower heat, but 1 passes, so need the glove or my hair burns my fingers. I'll give it a try bumping up the heat a little next time, though next wash day I intend to try the flat iron. My only negative with the tymo is burning hair caught between the blades of the comb part. Also you just can't clean it as thoroughly as I'd like. You can't exactly submerge it in water to soak it and get all the oil out from the nooks at the base.
How did your hair hold up in comparison to using a flatiron? I’ve seen reviews that said their hair didn’t last and that their ends didn’t really get straight.
