I really appreciate you going over the wire connections in detail. Many of the videos skip over this as they figure you took it off you should know.... However, I didn't take this one off so I only thought I knew. Thanks again for the detailed video.
You are a good man. You work so hard and you are so skilled and are kind enough to show this helpful tutorial to the world out of selflessness. May god bless you and your family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
2015 xlt f150 turned over real hard, replaced batt. replaced starter 2.7 engine cleaned the ground wires that you said should be done.still the same. found the batt. ground on the batt is shorting arcs when puting on batt.
My 2003 Explorer has only 2 wires. No wire is connected with the bolts that hold in the starter like you did. Do I still have to splice that small wire if there is only 2 wires presently connected to my starter? Thanks.
On the starter that you are replacing if there is a little wire hanging off of the new starter they want you to cut the old one slice it in follow the directions on the starter that you are putting in if there is no wire hanging off of the new starter then just swap everything over like normal
@@FordBossMe Thank you for the quick response and the great video. The top bolt is being a pain. Will not come off. I will try acetone/ATF mixture tomorrow. It's the last bolt I would want to break of. Peace.
Hey Boss, I own a 2002 4.0L explorer sport trac awd, which is showing me a P0442 scan code, EVAP Vent Control Valve leak. I cannot locate it. Could you provide orientation where to find it (in the vehicle)? any help is greatly appreciated
Under the vehicle there is 2 square boxes In this forum you can see the pic www.explorerforum.com/forums/threads/canister-vent-solenoid-location.465698/
I NEED HELP BADLY! PLEASE. WHERE IS THE GROUND WIRE ON A 2003 FORD EXPLORER EDDIE BAUER. MY GUY FRIEND HAS SCREWED UP FOR 2 SOLID DAYS ON MY NEW STARTER. I'M ABOUT READY TO WALK AWAY FROM MY CAR. HE'S TOTALLY DRIVING ME INSANE! HE SAYS HE CAN'T FIND THE GROUNDING LINE. ONLY FOUND 2 LINES. Please help me.
Send me a picture of the starter and what hes working with Some starters dont have a grounding line There is power to the big post and a small wire to the little post and the spot where the starter mounts IS the ground spot no line needed Send me pictures of what your working with If he pulled the starter off of the engine and it didn't have a grounding wire then the new one is not going to have a grounding wire because the block itself where the starter mounts is the grounding spot no wire needed
Now if he wanted to add a grounding wire he could go from one of the starter bolts up to the negative post on the battery and you could make a grounding wire that way but sometimes a grounding wire is not necessary depending on how the vehicle is built
