Your mistake just solved all my GoPro issues. I could not for the life of me figure out how to set it up for track driving & had the same lighting issue. I had no idea there was a shaded lens. I’ve been using the wide angle lens. I love it. Wonder if you can combine the two?

I have the same ND Filter for my Hero 9 Pro. I normally leave everything auto but put my ISO down to like 100-200 max depending how bright it is. I also go for the 120FPS Wide Preset as well. Nice driving! I didn't forget the ND Filters on the camera on the next day and it all turned out great. For my day job, I normally have camera assistants do these things for me and sometimes I'm careless and forget haha
