@@zmc223 yep, kind of hard to race on an empty tank LOL. I was just commenting on the fact that these time attack cars regardless of horsepower are geared for screaming acceleration. Even the tiny little 400 horsepower cars that have little 2 L 12,000 RPM NA Cosworth racing motors mated to sequential transmissions with straight cut gears. It's nice to know that you can always be in the meat of the powerband.

I came here to say that they should get Kimi to drive :) I think they cannot drive over the curbs because of the very slow splitters and the racing line is so different then GT3 cars.

Yep for sure! Amateur driver that lost confidense on the first braking due to different brake feel (the last incar). Plus we had only 1 day of running so no time to study the data deeper.

a "proper driver" wont take 12% laptime out of that car. Even a high 49 would be phenomenal.

@@krmx37 a gt3 car with much less downforce and 900 horsepower less can do almost 1.55 so i think 1.49 would be easily achievable

over 5 tons of downforce at around 260kph .just watched a video where they talked about the setup. they have active suspension to compensate for the INSANE downforce :D

Yeah we did talk about this after the event and there is a plan to change this for next year. The organizer was a bit surprised about our pace. 😬

I think traction is a big problem you can see that he has to have the Car almost plain level to accelerate at full Throttle where as when you watch a GT3 lap the GP curcuit you can see they can Get on the Gas alot Earlier. Dont know what set of TC they are running but i bet there is alot of Time laying on the Exits of the Cornerw

I think there is a ton left on the table. Seeing the onboard, he was only fast in the straights and quite slow in the corners, especially in the slower ones. The line was off on a few points also. So they need to get the suspension setup correctly to improve and maybe also learn the track better. I think this car can go faster than a gt3 with a better setup and maybe more seat time at the track.

Yeah biggest difference is that our driver is a retired sausage salesman. So we need quite an extreme machine to compensate for the driver. 😬 Also at the moment we are running hard compound tires as we couldnt make the softs survive at the rear with the current setup so giving away quite a bit in slow and medium pace corners. We will have a pro driver behind the wheel for some testing next year when more things should be dialed in so stay tuned for some quicker laps!

@@r8_1_1 Sounds great! This wasnt a Attack at the driver or the Skill of him, im Sure handeling this beast is a handful not even considering this isnt his Hometrack. Im sure with some Extra milage he and the Car will be alot faster. Good luck for the Future!

First of all, I thought, that the car in the game is to fast for real life, but this video now proofs me wrong. It is that fast. I am surprised how fast the car is around the track compared to all the Porsche

No tire limits, we are running hard compound slicks at the moment as we havent tested enough to make softer compounds survive.

Sounds about right! 😁 But Kimi is not being a dick, he just says how he feels using as little words as possible. Thats how we are. Efficient. 🙂

Thanks! We are all like brothers to Kimi. 🤣 Cornering speed has lot to do with driver not knowing the track yet and Hard compound tires. We plan to be back this year with much better preparation.

Mild hybrid. 😬 Very small lithium battery on the car so need to be on charger at all times as the ECU etc uses quite a bit even when not running.

Yep and we did not have any spare smoke with us so massive issue. Any tips on where to source good quality?

@@r8_1_1 My wife says that I blow a lot of smoke, and in my opinion, its the best there is. That said, it never seems fix a darn thing. Bad luck I guess.

Not quite, by memory the braking is around 2,8G max and cornering on this track might top at 2,5. The camera sensor might be a bit spiky at times. But the car does do things quite nicely. 🙂
