Im honestly not now or ever a RU-vid comment poster but ibhve researched the piss out a t56 magnum and ford 8.8 rear on a fd rx7. This is a great video. If you could do more on this in the future I would apprecite it. Cost, crossmember, rear mount cost, etc are all helpful.

Rob Dahm I was interested to see the transmission mount. In my 3 rotor FD T56 8.8 (same setup) I had to have the trans mount custom made to use the 4 bouts from the stock mount. Looks like a long "L"...

i am certainly not a rotary expert but i think that all that development and trouble is for nothing. A fd with 2rotor motor and a turbo at a size of gtx 3076 gen 2 or 3582 that could work at 1.8 bar with a relative reliability and could make 500 whp with some aero would be a much better car both in driving and lap times. Great passion from rob and good to see a youtuber get the work done by himself

Rob, I've got a T6060, and the second gear thing is really picky until it gets to temperature. If you're running a transmission cooler, make sure there's a thermostat on it. You'll want the fluid to be at least 160-180 to negate the second gear grind.

Look like that flywheel was all blue sure sign of "overheat " the clutch disc will slip on the hardened metal . Needed to be ground .

Damn all that power, t-56 magnum, and beefy diff... But the driveshaft has a cast yoke and diff flange. I recommend at least going to a Sonnax Billet Chromoly 1350 series yoke if you want that thing to to survive hard launches. Shit I broke 2 cast yokes on my stock powered gto lol. Now using the Sonnax :)
