You are the only youtuber that tells people about the baskets max of 10 eggs and I thank you as I have wasted so much time trying to fill the basket by waiting 30 minutes before grabbing them

I'm really mad that I didn't know you could select eggs vertically and drop them into your party. I selected them horizontally and tried to drop them in and it didn't work, so I just assumed you couldn't drop multiples into your party at all...

Something to add to this, if you've farmed a few herba mysticas, it's worth using 2 of them for egg power 3, and they won't go to waste since you don't have to save if none of the eggs are shiny. I get at least 3 boxes in 30 mins, which is a whole box more than level 2, add that can add up real quick since you'll have to do it many rounds most times. So if you want eggs much faster and have 2 herbas to spare, I'd definitely suggest doing this. You can just use the same 2 over and over till you roll a shiny, and in that case the herbas were put to good use and wouldn't feel like you wasted them.

So Scar/Vi isn’t like Sw/Sh where the shiny is determined as soon as you get the egg? You can reset shiny chance by closing the game?

In BDSP, turning off pokemon cries/music made the egg hatching screen faster. These tips are pretty good, I would recommend Great Peanut Butter Sandwich: Peanut Butter + Butter + Bananas for Lvl 2 egg hatching - great for early and late game shiny hunts. I always collected 360 eggs at a time, and cycled through. My worse fear is hatching a shiny within that 90, and having the game crash (which how volatile violet/scarlet could be is a scary thing) Thanks for the tips~ Totally forgot u can turn off nicknames.

As a Breeder and Shiny Hunter, the biggest take away here for me is to just make the Jam Sandwich. I like getting near-perfect eggs, too, so that way when I'm done farming and still have a ton of babies, I Surprise-Trade them for the random crap other people send so that at least they get a nice surprise out of it. 👍 Send me your crap, because I guarantee I can do better with the same 'mon!

Finally someone mentioned the save before breeding method, I've thought that method and have used it, I was just very unsure if it worked since I was 800+ eggs in, however I used the regular masuda methods (mass deleting after finishing) and I got probably more so, I think I just have bad luck.

Tip for AFK hatching too: Go to the beach behind Nemona's house, where the battle court is, and rubber band your joysticks together. You'll bike in circles, not run into any Pokemoin or obstacles as long as you stay between the ocean and the beach chairs. Masuda hunting is so delightfully AFK in this generation.

If you do get the shiny, you’ll still have to release all those others. And what do you do with the left over eggs?

Are shiny Pokémon determined at the breeding of the egg or the hatching? Just for clarification, if I hatch all the eggs, then reset the game to just before I hatched them, will the results of the hatchings be the same or new rolls?

That's all nice and stuff but as long as I'm still getting "An unexpected error occurred" crashes I'm leaving autosave on and keep my hands off of that option. I'm doing fine with my get 10 boxes -> hatch 5 mons at a time -> release 5 mons at a time -> rinse&repeat method

This would of saved me so much time. I was shiny breeding and had to give up because I ran out of money to buy ingredients.

3:30 So just to be clear, Eggs don't work like they did in sun and moon where they're pre-determined if certain variables remain the same right? so if you collect 90 eggs like you do in this video and you hatch them, they DO re-roll each time rather than being pre-determined? Hey, Just need some motivation here, how many eggs did it take for you to get a shiny (counting all those you hatch before restart the game for new batches)?

Didnt think about soft reseting eggs once i get them that is more convenient than making handfuls of sandwiches and what not

So wait do you restart back to when the eggs have not been hatched then rehatch them or go back before you even started getting the eggs and then recollect the eggs again?

with the random crashes i got i never turn auto save off also in the electric gym town theres an icecream place with egg power

If I remember correctly either in sword/shield or sun/moon wheres the shiny thro breeding is already predetermined where we bred magicarps for fast hatch then count egg number method! Just wondring if I reset wouldnt I get the same result ? Same as the method I mentioned or is it random every time?

I did the mesuda method, use flame body, and have the shiny charm. It's like a 1/500 chance. I've hatched at least 7 box's of froakie and having to release them is annoying

This is good in theory, but I like biking around the overworld collecting items and encountering many many more pokemon at the same time while I hatch. I must have found about 4 or 5 shinies already by biking around while hatching, none of which I would have gotten if I had done this method, as more time efficient as it is for getting rid of the eggs.

at the start menu, why does yours have a book and a pokeball where mine does not

I'm confused. Won't resetting your game put you where you saved? Meaning you'll still have the same eggs? Meaning they'll all spawn the same round of pokemon?

From which point do you need to restart? From when the eggs are in your boxes or breed them all over again?

Theres still a down side tho if ur game crashes while hatching and not all eggs are hatched before it happens

if you get a unhatched shiny egg does that count as battling a shiny

my tip for the huge amount of pokemon that will be in your pc just simply surprise trade them you might get somthing good

Gonna try with a Charmander I got inside a beastball from mystery trade. In worst possible scenario lot of ppl will be receiving a kinda cool Pokemon xD

Hi, I have been using this method to hunt shiny charmander, and after 4k plus eggs hatched, no luck. Im using the save method, shiny charm, foreign ditto, ditto holds destiny knot and charmander with power bracer to confirm 0 atk iv. Does the resetting give you the same shiny rolls every time???

At the end, were you rehatching the same eggs after restarting, instead of breeding new ones? If so, I don't think that's effective because the eggs receive a random roll at the time you pick them up, so if you keep rehatching them after a restart, you are gunna waste a lot of time rehatching the same non-shiny eggs.

Is the seed the same after closing the game without saving? Or would the eggs we get be completely different?

How many minutes do I have to wait before checking the basket after making the sandwich?

There's a faster way make sure you have your ditto and the pokemon your breeding in your party and make sure your box is empty and save your game next to the gastronomie en famille restaurant in the town alfornada that's the bottom left hand side of the map they will sell you the food with egg power 2 so you sign in buy that food and then place a picnic it save all that time that you have to make the sandwich hope that helps

if i hard save after i get all my eggs then hatch all of them and none of them are shiny then reset then load back up, my eggs will still be there but they have the same stats. so does that mean that bunch wont be shiny and ill have to breed a different patch of eggs in order to get the shiny?

What I do, Is I go to the water gym town which has a restaurant that sells a dish which gives egg power V2, and after I hatch the five eggs I just release them immediately so I don't need to worry about having to release 200 Pokemon later

This method kinda saves a lot of time for not having to manually release each breedjects but what happens if the game decided to crash? That’s what I’m scared of since you only manual save once before breeding. Also, how many eggs would you recommend for us to breed? I have a shiny charm plus masuda method. I might give this a try and maybe breed 30 egg each run. Imagine breeding 90 and above and the game crashes. That’s a huge waste of time!

How do it all work is my question. I have two foreign dittos one from jpn and ita. I always use my jpn ditto but somehow by accident while I was already 180 eggs in for a shiny I used the ita ditto for a egg run. Did that screw my odds. Also do u have to get the shiny in one run and can’t close the game and put it away because it will start you all over. Is there a counter or something so confusing. Now because of all this I am over odds for this shiny currently 561 eggs in…..😢

You want to know what I find funny the fact is that we get mass release in let's go P/E and legends arceus but there's no breeding but in other games that have breeding in the but have no mass release.

I have a quick question about shiny hunting by breeding. So lets say i breed 100 eggs, it isnt determined if one is shiny until i hatch it? My friend tried telling me that it is decided if it is shiny or not once you have the egg but this video makes it sound like the rng dont start until you actually hatch the egg.

I'd be way too scared to not save while the game has still the possibility to crash. If it does crash, you'd lose so much time having to get all the eggs again and more importantly you may miss unhatched shinies...

The shiny is decide during the breeding or during the hatching ? I heard like what we cant reload à game because the shiny is "already in the egg" ..

So it's better to have a ditto and one pokemon as opposed to having a ditto and 5 of the same pokemon of the same gender?

You have to rebreed after resetting then yeah? You can’t breed them all, save, hatch, reset and then rehatch can you?

While I agree this is a good way to shiny hunt with eggs, I had a problem where the game kept crashing when I was trying to hatch the eggs. If one of those eggs was shiny, it's now lost forever. Be careful of crashes.
