I had a Rolex that I had been gifted by my best friends mother when my friend passed away in 2007 and it belonged to him, only for someone to STEAL it from me during a birthday party for my son we had some company over.. they snuck in my bedroom at sometime and snatched it.. broke my heart and still a piece missing cuz of it.. All Rolex watches have serial numbers. If the watch has been sold or pawned, it can be easily traced and returned to you for free. However, you must file a police report. Good luck.

As jewelry yes, a rolex. But a time piece? Come on get real. My Citizen runs on solar and kinetic, water and shock resistant, self sets to whatever country i land in and never needs service. That watch lasts forever and costs about 1.5k
