I’m on day 14 of water only fasting. I feel better than ever, I have zero inflammation, zero food cravings, and I’m inspiring metabolically ill people around me. A conversation gets started most times and that leads to a ripple effect of changing lives that I never thought I could touch. FASTING IS POWERFUL!

Would love to eat only grass fed, but would also love to make more than 4 figures a year. Agree with him regarding animal treatment and environmental effects but realize not everyone has the means and we're doing good to be avoiding fast food and cooking instead.

Grass-fed ground beef isn't too bad.. Pork is cheap too. Some say the difference between grass fed and regular meat is minimal anyway.

@@xxxthewaynexxx if u really want to help, purchase directly from the farmer. You can really cut down on cost that way. I purchase grass fed locally, it's about 30% less than the store. You can also validate their claims wrt feeding. If u see big corn storage silos, you know they are lying.

If you eat less you can afford better. Understanding we can eat much less is one thing but realizing how many benefits it has, changes your perspective. I didn't get there right away.

I am on my fourth extended fast (longer then 3 days) and I have issues with 3am wake ups. I tired the 1tsp of raw honey and slept like a baby. This is a fantastic hack which makes fasting much more pleasant without the erratic sleeping and waking habits.

Well, I am fasting and I am checking my glucose and ketone level with it and I can tell you for my body, if I have coffee and or tea with some zero carb stuff it kicks me out of the fasting zone as it lowers my ketones and raises my blood sugar. This is why I got the monitor to check as every body is very different.

I have used the Bulletproof Innerfuel and it really is a game changer when it comes to hunger. Food didn’t cross my mind. This is a great interview/duo. Love the material !

Listen, I worked on a animal sanctuary. I worked with vegans and non-vegans. Unfortunately, the vegans were highly unbalanced mentally and emotionally. It was a big eye opener for me because I saw the real life repercussions.

Could it be the reverse some times? Perhaps some with mental health struggles use their vegan diet as a crutch, they haven’t tried another way and it worked for them on some level in the same way that fasting works for us.

Love Dr Fung though! His book Obesity Code never says to always eat OMAD from what I remember though… I feel people just take 1 thing and then take it to the extreme

I could never do just a water fast. Try snake juice fasting. It's water fasting with some salts and vital minerals mixed in the water. Im on day 10!

I've been doing the Bulletproof plan since May 2021 and it's been amazing for my life. I tried so many other plans/diets and nothing comes even close to what Bulletproof has done for my life.

I did 2 months of gym every day , healthy eating chicken and salads, and I was lucky to drop 300g then up on the scale. It was awful. I started fasting back in June after finding the glucose goddess then Mindy and my life has changed beyond recognition. I feel sooo in control. It’s wierd to be able to say ‘by next Wednesday, I will have dropped x weight’ it sounds like madness to anyone who’s not tried it

Looking forward to his book . Grass fed actually tastes better to me compared to conventional so I’m glad he expressed why we shouldn’t eat conventional. I get grass fed patties and butter from Costco.

This episode talked about ketosis resetting the "weight set point"...I'm happy to try this experientially and experimentally, but I'm trying to help my very scientifically-minded father and would really appreciate any sort of literature or studies that point to this outcome.

If you're planning to research it, first I recommend getting his book; he probably foot noted it. Also, he said "hunger set point" so that might help you find studies better. Weight set point is a thing, but I don't know if it's the _same_ thing.

Fasting with just water ensures a real fast = not just restricting something and some autophagy but triggering all autophagy and having all attention and energy directed to that 😇 True fasting is not just going without some thing or even multiple things but looking for the most powerful and fastest way to fully rest and thus best heal. Anything but the vital air and then water and some sun and outside direct Nature / Earth contact is taking away from real fasting or even interrupting it completely ;) And yes all fasting should not be difficult or tormenting but it can very well be tough and tougher still as we age badly 😇😁🌞 Graceful aging ensure graceful everything (including fasting) and vice-versa... True therapeutical fasting is thus the absence of everything non essential + the abundance and ensurance of everything essential (fresh + clean air / water / Nature + direct sunlight + good company & competent and kind guidance)

First, I'm reading "Smarter Not Harder" - love you, Dave! I'm nearly 24 hours into a 5 day fast (I've done two others with no hacks) and I'm famished, probably because I did 3 weeks of "Nurture" first instead of the usual monthly pattern. It's too late in the day for caffeine so as soon as I heard the blended MCT oil/butter hack, I put some in hot water along with a drop of oregano oil and some Celtic sea salt and blended it up. *O M G, it tastes amazing and I'm not hungry!!!* Powering on!!! *THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!* P.S. We grow our own dinosaur kale on purpose, LOL - I love it sautéed with a little butter and salt. To each his own, LOL!

Thank you for this conversation. The explanation of how to tell if a food is right for you is an eye opener for me. I am corn reactive, so already avoid that. I realized that a couple of foods were not filling for me, but were, in fact, causing bloating that I mistook for fullness. Thanks to IF, I no longer have a desire for those foods.

How should one fast and eat to defeat lymphoma? Red blood cells kept going down. Carnivore 6 months and last visit red blood cells went up. I always ate two meals a day 16 to 17 hour from dinner to the first meal. I now have been trying a few 24 hour fast one 48 water fast. I don't want to go down in weight anymore but I want to beat this shit!!!

Check out Valter Longo -fasting mimicking diet and Jason Fung. Longo’s done a lot of work around diet and cancer. 1.5 years post chemo for B Cell Lymphoma. Sending healing prayers and strength.

Absolutely loved this podcast! Such a world of information!! I'm thrilled at the prospects of trying out these hacks!! I'm in India and may not find the bulletproof MCT oil but I have coconut oil in the kitchen and could also look for MCT oil the next time I'm grocery shopping.. thank you so much for this podcast, I think I'm going to give it a listen a couple of days running so that I can absorb it all in!

I will fast with butter and water and salt. I have also done daytime dry fasting two days in a row, or three days just water and salt. I am not a fan of bulletproof coffee due to the fiber in it. I am plant free except for coffee and wine.

I plotted my weights daily on a graph and in 36 hrs I always seemed to drop between 1 and 1.5 kgs and with 72 hrs I tended to lose 1.2 and 1.5 kgs

Wait what. Combine soluable fiber with butter? Wouldn't the soluable fiber suck up the fat and prevent it from being absorbded by your body? I guess that's a good thing for fasting but sort of a waste of money?

This reminded me of the cows at our couny fair last summer.I have been going for years....I could not believe the SIZE of those cows!! Never ever before in my life - I'm 58- have I seen cows this FAT and huge!! SOOO obvious that the hormones and antibiotics were doing their job 🤪😡 I never want to eat conventionally raised beef again.

No coffee No. A Fast is a Fast . No Food . Water Fact. Water only . No coffee. How deceptive. It’s not ok. The body is being cleansed . The body is getting balanced . More importantly for a spiritual fast you are submitting yourself before God & making a commitment & making a covenant . This is righteous & holy . This is sacred . If you have coffee it’s not a fast but a form of denying good for weight loss .

Not so sure about the red wine thing. Now everything is sadly saying alcohol is bad. That doesn't mean I'll give it up entirely, but we went overboard with Red wine has revervetol! The French! Lowers cholesterol (who cares?)! etc. in the late 90s and early 2000s.
