When I’m fasting I try to mentally embrace the hunger..... when hunger happens and it always WILL.... I say to myself my body is literally eating the FAT..... and when the Hunger passes my body is done eating :) that’s how I mentally deal with HUNGER ‼️‼️‼️ Law of Attraction lead me to you Brotha..... LOVE YOUR CONTENT..... CONTINUE BLESSINGS 🙏🏽💛🙏🏽

When that hunger feeling hits, sometimes painfully so, I tell myself "that is the feeling of buring fat and losing weight"... for me it's in the late evening - if I manage to fall asleep the next morning I'm find again.

Omg this is so my struggle. I’ve always been a night owl and fasting has made it worse. I can’t go to sleep before 2-3am and then I get hungry and I’m up all night.

For me, it's not hunger. It's all emotional and mental. I successfully did Alternate Day Fasting last week and fasted three days (Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday) but my 4th fasting day I was supposed to fast (Saturday) I caved and ate 8:00pm and binged. I was not hungry, I just wanted the pleasure of eating and I was bored. Since then I have been doing more OMAD but I know the results won't be as substantial. I still want to get back to the Alternate day fasting which puts me around 32-36 hour fasts so I can increase those hours. Just have to get passed this hurdle.
@FinallyFasting
@FinallyFasting 4 года назад
I can't tell you how many times I broke "eating healthy" because the emotional and mental part overtook my psche. I think it was also a lot of knowing that I wasn't ready to deprive myself of certain foods or carbs or anything of the like. Congrats to your ADF days - we all have ups and downs though, so take it as a battle scar and move on. Let me know if I can help in any way. Good luck!

For other women out there, I want to suggest utilizing our monthly cycle with fasting. Some days of the month are much better to fast than others, for me at least. Worst times are during the ovulation when I get ravenous with food. I can't say too much bc other men may be reading this :p but I plan my long fasting on day 1-3 and it def makes a difference

Its addiction combined with self manipulation and sabotage...that's my mantra at this moment I know I'm overweight and I won't starve in the next 26 days which isn't that long honestly. I just keep reminding myself of my goal, I stand in the mirror look at my belly and go back to my water...it works for me. I just thought maybe this could help someone else.

You can't be passive in the face of hunger or a desire to eat. You have to aggress upon it. Dominate it. If you're in the habit of submission to insistent voices, this will be very uncomfortable, but it's 100% doable.

After doing successfully 16:8 & 23:1 fast's Now doing 72 hours fast and its seems not so difficult in terms of doing it but... Its a mental game, there is no physical hunger but un necessary urge to eat.

I am writing this comment just based on the title alone, fasting is a mind game, and I keep failing at this mind game. I knew I needed to build tolerance for fasting for about 70-75 hours, but after that, I cave in, I am trying to work up to 96 and more but it harder, I have done 8 65+ hours of fasting, mostly 70s and 71, but I want to be able to raise it to 96.
@FinallyFasting
@FinallyFasting 4 года назад
If you're already building that tolerance to be in the 70s, I'm sure you'll be able to get to 96s in no time! And even if it takes some time, the fact that you're already doing 70s is amazing! I've said this quite a few times already but all that 'failing' is just part of the process as we keep growing into consistency and moving in the right direction - admire your persistence! Keep me posted on your progress!

Dr Jamnadas said fasting is switching the body from eating from a plate to eat from the body’s stored fat. which is why the body stores fat anyway, to eat it later.

I tried fasting two years ago but failed. One of the problems I ran into was going to the office where everybody was eating and snacking all the time. But now I haven’t been to the office since march, and after watching a couple of your videos I decided to give it another try. Having control of your environment makes a lot of difference. Last week I did a 35 hour fast as an experiment and it went without a hitch. Tried again this Sunday but failed, probably because I had too many carbs/sugar on Saturday. So it turned into an OMAD with lots of animal fats and protein. Tried again on Monday and now I’m about 40 hours in and I feel fine. I feel a little odd in the head but not tired or hungry. I love how relaxed my body feels. The only downsides so far are occasional hunger and feeling cold in the evening. If anyone wants to try for the first time I would advise not to do it on a day you have to go to work. Do it on a day where you can stay home and control your environment, and when you have the time to go outside for a walk. Moving your body seems to help with the hunger and cold.

Hey Pierre! At my last job (when I was still living in LA) I worked with a few guys who had super fast metabolisms and could eat whatever they wanted whenever they wanted and they'd never gain a pound. Unfortunately they snacked ALL day in the same office we shared, and a lot of times I'd even go out to lunch with them and just kept them company - so I feel you totally! Glad to hear about your 35 and I feel you on having control of your environment...it really makes a difference! Thanks for sharing your feedback, experiences, tips, and advice! A lot of things I missed like feeling cold and how environment makes an impact! Keep going and keep me posted!

@@FinallyFasting I broke it this morning at around 58 hours. I was feeling a bit woozy so that was enough for a first attempt at longer fasting. I did weight myself during this fast and the 36 I did last week. It does look like that second day is very important for the weight loss. So I think it pays off to push towards that 48 hours and not quit after 36. Also, the second day was easier than the first and I wasn’t cold on the second day. Do you notice certain days that are always worse than the other ones? If it's always the first day it might be easier to always do extended, so that you have less first days to deal with.

When fasting the hunger waves don't really bother me anymore I guess I'm accustomed to them now but it's more the boredom that makes me think about eating so I try and keep busy as much as possible especially and working out is the key for at night so i can just sleep

Listening to all of your videos, I identify so much with all of the things that you are saying aout your emotions and your attitude towards food. Just rust the process and fast, this works for me. I just need to keep prolonged fasting and eating GBOMBS while refeeding. I actually like eating good quality food, but I haven't been engaging with fasting on a continuous basis.

I am much like you in that I binge hard. I honestly know I will likely not stop binging so rolling fasts are a better way to maintain healthy weight than purging 10x a day. Also, fasting for me gets easier just past the 70 hour mark. I always feel slightly nauseated between hours 60-70ish but it seems to be from low magnesium because it improves if I down a pinch every couple hours.

great tips. I was working towards a 70 hour fast and right at 67 intense hunger hit. So i went for a walk like you suggested...and guess what? I Had zero hunger at the 70 hour mark. now onto a 45 hour fast where I will break my fast with other people fasting for yom kippur! My bf is Jewish so I can finally just blend in for that day with my fasting lifestyle . Although he will be fasting for just 24. It seems sortof funny now to say, "Just 24". I pushed past that ghrelin and now can do 45's easy. And 70's are starting to get better.

Have you always eaten whatever you want during your feasting or is this something new? Also are you eating that many calories because you are that hungry? The longest fast I did was 82 hours and I ate as much meat as I wanted after. But then I had a hard time getting back on a fast after tasting that delicious rib eye lol
@FinallyFasting
@FinallyFasting 4 года назад
You mean since doing extended fasts? I've always eaten this way. I think when I first started it might've been on the cleaner side but the more I resisted the more I could feel myself wanting to break early or having like 'falling off the wagon' thoughts. Eating whatever I want, how much I want, and then appropriately fasting after helps me do what I do. And yes, I eat that much because I literally just eat that way. I have my whole life. I thought maybe it'd drop once I got down to where I'm at now, but nope, still putting it down - again, I never force food. I just eat 'til I'm full. Eat 'til your satiated, it doesn't have to be 7k, find what works for you and fast again!
