Did you fast for 30 days or 60 days in a row or did you fast for three days and eat one day or did you fast for four days and eat one day and continued your fast⁉️
Ill fast for a couple days then doing a really hard full body workout right before my refeed then eat a ton of protein and calories for a couple days then go back to fasting after I'm so bloated I dont even want to eat. Like mini and accelerated bulking and cutting cycles.
The scale has not gone down at all, however, clothing is looser, Edema in my calves and feet is almost non-existant, and I can see loose skin and stretch marks on my abdomen and chest! It's working!
20lb down more to go. This is my 4th round day 1 fasting. Starting weight 279.09lb, now I am 259.0lb. My eating window is 2 hours. I am doing 70-72 hour fasting.
I kept getting heart palpitations, tiredness , I could barely work out anymore, and figured out that this feeling should get away after 3 days, and I keep stopping after 2 to 3 days
I love your videos ! I have already lost 22 pounds since the 27th of June! I do find it challenging because of the people around me. I have figured out if I eat Mondays and Thursdays I can kinda make my rolling fasts work to my advantage without it breaking my relationship and friendships. I personally find it so easy and my mind is finally able to think about other things than food and my workouts have been amazing !!! I am so impressed with my strength in the gym !
Thank you Jerome for sharing your experience. I’m so happy and proud of you for finding what works for you and that you’re seeing results!! 💪🏾👏🏾 I’m taking a lil break because…… it’s just hard right now. I just completed 6 months of training with a personal trainer and I have little progress, and I’ve busted my butt. This is the hardest I’ve EVER worked, so….I’m a little distraught, disappointed and disgusted. I’ll get back in my grind on Saturday evening. I just have to revisit my routine. I’m down, but not out. I’ll get there too. Again, THANK YOU for sharing all this info with us! It REALLY does help 🫶🏾😀
All this unsolicited advice is annoying me. These ‘experts’ are like the co-workers who have tons of ideas when you’re losing weight but say nothing when you’re sick. You’re not asking anyone how you can improve your results. You’re helping us to stay motivated. Great work, Jerome.
I think you do great and I dont think i’ll ever doubt your ability to get back to your routine. I have a feeling that the only reason why you had that feeling of binging the next day is because of the junk from the day before. BTW you handled the next day wonderfully. 👏🏼 You’re amazing 🥇 keep being amazing 🌹
Bottom line: any advice/solution/resolution is going to always look good on paper, BUT implementing it is where in lies the rub. I will never be able to effectively get the results I want eliminating ADF and with 60+ hr fasts sprinkled in. Have I been able to hue it down to maybe one or 2 60+ fasts a month YES? But eliminating the 60s altogether? Absolutely not. People love to give solutions and advice but then fail to realize that we are not a monolith, so what works for one person won't work for another. I'm glad to see that you hung in there Jeromey Rome!! And not only hung in there, but kept a healthy mindset Its much easier for me to give myself grace now that I know there's a fail safe in fasting that I can return to that will 100% get me back on track. Glad to know you're ok and that you kept going!! ❤❤🎉🎉
Consider the possibility that the trigger to binge wasn't your eating disorder but the shock of gaining 9 pounds and wanting to throw the baby out with the bathwater. To prevent a 9 pound weight gain, perhaps consider food choices at parties and skip the chips. Your body is ready for changes to your diet that your mind hasn't wrapped around yet. We are here to support you through the next transition. We love you and honor your progress.
I appreciate your transparency more than you could ever know. You don’t know how much you are helping people. It’s because of you I started doing rolling fast and this month I have been doing 90 hours. Because of you I was able to accomplish this. I am done almost 35 pounds since June 3rd. I really don’t know how to thank you. I listen to your videos at work when I’m driving and when I’m working out. My goal is to lose 80 pounds in 5 months like you did. My name is Abbey and I live in Canada. You are making a difference in people’s lives all over the world. God bless you and I knew you weren’t going to binge on Sunday! You are one awesome human being!!! I am practicing imperfect consistency!!
Jerome, your body may be telling you that it needs more nutrition and a rest from fasting. Perhape the urges to binge are a signal that your nutritional content during refeeds is too low. Perhaps it's time to evaluate cutting chips, for example, out of your diet in favor of cucumbers with salt. Your body is telling your brain something. You just have to figure out what is going on. You're so lean that your body may not have enough fat for ketosis and it's screaming at you to consume more.
Ive lost 115lbs with you..Want you to know,.. Jerome, ❤you helped me and you understand.. I understand you.. just thank you.. you are beautiful.. I watch and listen to your streams in my hour walks.. and on my days of fasting. . All of your content and wonderful family on here help one another and are so important and kind. . Basically thank you all of Jerome family.. much love from new orleans
I’m in actually the place your in right now. I feel like I’ve got a wall. I’m literally crying with u. Everything around us is working against this journey we’re in and want to stay on and it’s mentally exhausting. I gave in I’m on day 4 of not caring anymore and I feel sick
Jerome thank you, I have been fasting for the past two years on and off but never truly got the right mind set and you are helping me so much to understand that even if I don’t complete the hours I challenge myself to do, I don’t give up. I average do 22 hours fasts and re feed for two hours. My problem is that sometimes I binge on alcohol and the weight doesn’t go.
Keep eating the pie, thats for the soul and your sanity. I mean, you cant eat "clean" foods all the time, I have tried and Ive been miserable lol. the way I see it, you achieved balance. The low that you experienced last Sunday can just be the break that you need. I rememeber I was on my running streak a couple of months ago, I was doing my cardio consistently and then I got sick, I got the flu, and I was so angry at myself because I thought I was being healthy ( my diet was dialled in and again my running streak) but then I forgot one of the most important things: REST. I was so high with this running streak and my sterling diet I neglected to rest and so I got sick. Our bodies know how to humble us, but thats a good thing because thats how we learn GRACE. You are on the right track :)))
I'm curious how is eating 6000 calories in 1 day and then nothing for 3 days different then eating 2000 ever day? If calories in truly equals calories out there would be no difference. How do you not see that Jeromes eating is a matter of portion control 🤷♀️
@@Kevin.GrindelJerome mentioned in different videos that it’s easier for him to eat this way and still loose or maintain the desired weight due to the history of eating disorder. This eating schedule such as rolling 65 or 90 won’t work for me since in my experience of a few longer water fasts from 7 days to 21 day, by day 4 I don’t have much appetite and if I do break the fast I have to be very careful what and how much I eat not to upset my digestive system especially the gallbladder. OMAD or 20:4 works best for me but I need enough physical activity to keep loosing weight on that schedule.
@@YolandeLemmermeyer you have issues, replying to my comment and then telling me i dont understand. Weighing 130-140 pounds and eating 6k calories in a day is an eating disorder, get it? Hes countering it by fasting. Bulimics throw up to counter the binging, hes fasting to counter the binging. He even said in another video he has an eating problem. You’re not supposed to be daily fasting your whole life.
I'm going thru the same thing so I can most definitely relate Jerome. After extending my fast a couple days over 21 days trying to get into the 140s, I broke earlier than expected at 150lbs on 6/30/24. I did eat vegetarian food to satiety but instead of rolling right into another fast, I ate for 11 days consecutively rapidly gaining 46lbs. I did eat plant based but towards the end of that period I made more poor food and beverage choices. To be honest the poor food choices were unsatisfying to me. My body bloated to the point my stamina and mobility were affected. Several days I had neck pain and I ate as a way to distract myself from the pain. I felt miserable at 196lbs. I gave myself some grace and I finally was able to get back on track and fast again on 7/11/24. I'm doing a combo of water and dry fasting for 21 days as I really want to get back into the 140s. I'm proud to say that I've dropped 40lbs in a week and my current weight is now 156lbs. Thank you so much for teaching imperfect consistency Jerome. It feels good to finally be back on track.
Jerome, your experience is so relatable! The awareness that old behaviors can lurk in the background makes me think of a George Carlin quote,"Just cause you got the monkey off your back doesn't mean the circus has left town." That pops into my head every time I slip. I'm more imperfect than consistent at the moment, but thanks to you, I keep showing up and trying. Onward & upward!
Thanks for the shoutout! I knew you would get right back to it. I'm currently 22.5 hours fasted and your videos help soooo much. Yesterday was a "bad day" for me but I hit the timer, and I'm showing up. 😊 Thanks so much for drilling this point home!
Jerome, you are totaly right! I am 67, 5’4”, and now weigh 118 pounds. I have been in maintenance for several years, and I have experimented with every different fasting technique .. In my experience, I need a rolling 42 to maintain my weight. If I do OMAD I slowly start gaining weight back, no matter how clean or controlled. I am currently doing rolling 65s to get off a bit of winter weight I had gained. 🤗
im so glad you didn’t binge! this is the kind of thing i call a binge for ME. when i wake up and eat, I know that I'm doing too much! I know that I'm not hungry, but I wake up and eat it just because it's there instead of just hitting the fasting timer around the time I fell asleep. Im trying to do better. I'm proud of you Jerome! You really didn't do any harm. You're still imperfectly consistent ❤
