We go fat biking in the snow for the first time ever. This was our first time riding a fat bike and we have never really biked in the snow (except a small patch on the great divide), so we were a little unsure at first. We talk about our experience and Liz attempts her first jump!

I commute to high school here in Utah and for the winter my dad and I went fifty fifty on plus tires. They are a tad smaller than fat bikes but it’s still crazy how they stop in the snow. Biking in the snow is my absolute favorite. I started watching because I want to do some of the great divide once I graduate and was looking into it.

If you run 27.5 x 3.0 tires on your salsa fargo you can ride fat bike trails in comfort, as long as the snow is not super soft. No need to buy another bike! Try it out.

They’re called disc brakes...They stop you...Period!!!

What we meant is that when braking suddenly on snow, you would expect to lose traction and slip on the snow, which is what happened on the Great Divide with our Fargos, this didn't happen with the fat bikes.
