Totally different. I was walking Brent through how to slide the rear end around. One leg out, move your crotch up to the stem and feather brakes while whipping the rear end around. I told Brent exactly what you said. This is a weird skill only used in fat biking. Wildly effective for swooping downhills!
@@BrianDavisraces I am really diggin' fat biking. Another thing I learned is one wants to start off cold for the first 10-15 minutes. If not starting out cold you will overheat, sweating and then get REALLY cold. Keep up the great work!
Great stuff man! It was good to meet ya the other day at Hilly Haven. +1 on the air pressure gauge! That day I thought I dropped down to 4psi, but was actually running 6.5 - 7.. Keep doin what ya do, love the content!!
I am thinking of trying one of the Snow Crown races. Some questions: So how many layers on did you have? And what type of materials were they? Where you clipped into your pedals?
Great question. For this training ride I had: Tights Baselayer Bibs Thermal LS jersey Outer thermal cycling coat (Diablo one) Outer riding pants (blue ones) Gore Gloves Buff on neck Thin hat Wolvhammer shoes And of course: Hollowsocks.com But…if I were racing 1 less layer on top + bottom. It was about 24f this day Yes - always clipped in is my preference but it’s been fairly proven it doesn’t make much difference.
