47 years young now and still collect and play these tunes daily. U had to be there to understand it. Our parents had the 60s, and this is our decade/version of it. An absolutely beautifully constructed piece of music in my humble eyes. Peace and love to all my old skool ravers in the house.
Couldn’t agree more! Pure masterpiece 🙏 definitely one of the greatest of all time, the way it makes me feel is unlike anything else. What memories we all hold from this era. Thank you universe 🙏 Thank you Uphoria 🙏 Thank you fat controller 🙏❤️
God damn I’m 51 still rocking nothing will replace the memory and memories this tune gives me. Tribal gathering if like minded individuals all on the same trip god bless everyone of you. Keep it real top draw ffffffresh 😅
You can't dislike this track you zaps. This still gives me goosebumps after all these years and I'm 42 and I'm one of the lucky ones to been around when all this was going on.Its true what they say hardcore will never die 😉😉😉😉😉
@@DJWILDCARD46 edge tape packs. O live near Coventry just too young though to have been. I still have one with my favourites out of all my packs. Just no tape player.
Finding this has literally made my day ! Completely forgot how amazing this tune was, and still is ! Can't believe it's nearly 30 years old and it still gave me goosebumps and took me straight back to my early teens. When life was simple. it was just purely about rushing to the music. None of this social media shite.
This is absolute perfection. Takes me back to before the UK was broken, a time when colour, race and creed mattered not. A time when we were truly one. A time of hope for the future. Look what we have now😥
This tune would put chuck norris on his arse, with his eyes rolling and his jaw giving it the large one.. still as fresh today as it was back then.. all time favourite happy hardcore tune.. yep, i said it.. 💜💜💜💜💜
An absolute belter of a tune from back in the day, still get the goosebumps from listening to this, shame on the 2 dislikes to this track, they obviously weren't involved in the scene back in the day, this track is just perfect in my eyes
Rediscovered this puppy after many years. Instantly remembered how fcukin awesome it is. Orchestral ensemble and proper jungle drums, combined with an inspirational quotation and bright pianos....perfection. Only thing is now, in my head, I hear the words "felt like I was in this long, dark tunnel..."....I know what I've gotta hear next lol🤯
I sadly only just caught on the early jungle side of '94 when I got into the music, and despite loving the 91-93 era of breakbeat hardcore I turned my nose up at near anything too happy. However on discovering THIS on 'The Best Of Hardcore' Low Price Music comps, I soonsoftened that attitude. Who cares if 'In Complete Darkness' steals a huge part offa Rollo. That was one of the plus points of rave music, the pilfering!!!
I had no idea this was sampled from Rollo, so I looked it up - that's one amazing tune! Thanks! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fEuFsEZ1Lhc.html
The fat controller ran a record shop in the town im from corby northants around the time he produced this one of the original happy hardcore tune 1994 bizznizz
I’m 39 and I was still too young to really experience it, I did listen to a lot of the tape packs though, that would be a good place to get a real feel for it
same here. im 29 now. so i was kinda growin up with this kind of music. although it was almost impossible to hear it in TV or radio in slovakia back then :D thanks to the parties and many people i was lucky to meet marusha and it was the trigger :))
Ah the memories 16 walking round with me 3D super woofer strapped over me shoulder dougal tape full blast 😂 the rewind button got punished due to this monster
@@christam3m5 Was only pulling your chain! I started young in '94 and to be honest I was always a free party raver, I was a soundsystem child. The only organised events I went to were organised by the coalition who put on the free parties as well, so generally entry was free. Apart from World Dance at the Dome, I went to that but we don't talk about it... Still do a few things each year but it's mainly restricted to Carnival and a few small local things when my knees, back and most importantly my head can take it. It's fun at the time but the following couple of weeks are getting harder and harder to manage, every year.
My favourite period was around 93/94 when hardcore was played in the same sets as jungle, just before it got too bouncy with the four to the floor. This is a great example
seriously looking forward to holding the mic for you tonight @ high energy in ipswich. you could play this track on repeat for the whole hour, they'd still love it
Quite possibly the greatest light's out tune of all time 90s hardcore rave what a fucking greatest time to be there live it love it and be able to carry those memories with us 💯❤🔥🔥😎
29 people liked this track so much they turned their phones upside down and liked it again! I tip my hat to you legends, Class. Im not surprised you voted twice as this track ripped the roof off every venue it was played. Think the first time I heard this was at Pandemonium when I'm sure Vibes dropped as his last tune of the set. Still gives me goosebumps and I'm nearly 43! 👊
Felt privileged to enjoy the scene without the need for drugs coursing through my system. Music was a drug that moved my body. Peace, love & unity to those that never made it to now ❤️
@@SuzylondonUK Ha 😊 Seriously I'm thinking of getting this record on vinyl and it's like 30 quid... Not quite mint condition... Umming and aahing, I can't decide!
I'm sooo homesick luvved this back in the day ..started raving 88/89 onwards loved ever minute of it ...awww yeah goosebumps all over got a big smile on me boat
I was there. This was a time of change in the rave scene. Hardcore was getting faster, more darker, with an underlying sinister edge to it. Where as, some people wanted it to stay happy and housy. And thats when it went its seperate ways.
@@TakeMeBackPirateRadio me too but still bought the tape packs early on when they would play hardcore and jungle in the same sets. But only went to jungle events till it morphed into dnb and lost its way a bit. So moved onto speed garage then back to dnb when it found it's way again and ukg got too grimey with all the wannabees. Still partial to a bit of happy hardcore tho
47, in 2024, you'll never take us alive! Labyrinth, Rocket Holloway Rd, Lazerdrome. Anyone who was there....... we smashed it! Hardcore you know the score.
Absolutely love this track along with feel the panic one of the best of its time. Hard-core will never die yes I never tell no lie (words of mc majika)
When he dropped this on 19/11/22 @Bowlers Manchester for the Stu Allan Tribute Night it took the roof off..sounded sooo good! Oi Oi! FC Met the man himself too and bought a poster off him..
