Underwater action and tying SBS on the Fat Head Rubber Skirt Jig. This head on this jig creates a lot of commotion and sound - and breathes life into the rubber skirt. Super effective when you really want to call to attention - and turn on the predators appetite for destruction. Try it for trout, bass, pike, perch, musky, catfish, zander and other predators.
Thanks for watching :0)

Wow Michael, Medusa on Squid Roe ;o) I had to revisit that "Turn a jig into a spinner" video. We had a cool discussion on lures and fishing techniques back then. I'm glad you did this SBS on the "Fat Head Rubber Skirt Jig", it looks great. I pity the fool that looks up her skirt! ;o) That music was beautiful! It's like the closing shot of a western, the hero goes off into the sunset, realizing he's found his "Identity". Very fitting for this time we're in... I'm starting to get you're "makes me feel good" vibe. Cheers my friend, better days ahead.

Do you find that the "head" portion helps slow the fall of the jig? I'm tying 1-2 oz hair jigs for deep trout and salmon. They look awesome, but these weights drop straight like a stone. I certainly need them to drop deep, but I desire to slow down their fall. I'm also playing around with muddler type heads for this purpose as well. Any thoughts on gluing a light spoon body to the jig to create a flutter or wobble as the jig falls. Kind of a jig version of a spoon fly. 🤔

@MichaelJensensAngling 3 года назад
Hi Matthew. Yep, that is the main reason for me, when I use this type of head on some of my jigs. It sure helps to get a slow fall of the jig. Deer hair tied muddler style has an even more pronounced effect. I am experimenting with chatter blades for that wiggle and flutter. They work great, and actually helps to get a slower dive as well. Anyway, experimenting with new ideas is a great part of the fun. Cheers, Michael :0)

@matthewbeckwith663 3 года назад
@@MichaelJensensAngling ohhhhh chatter blades, that didn't occur to me. I'm crossing over from fly fishing and fly tying, so I'm still figuring out which tools are available. If I can come up with a hair jig that can be snapped erratically up through the water column, but then slowly flutters as it falls, I'd be thrilled
