Hats off to whoever directed this. It had a story, a theme, cameo etc... and the camera they used made it really look like it was shot in the 50s or something. They don’t make em like they used to!
@@majahcorcoran782 yes he’s respected which is good but he fell off when he comes to album sales it sales very poorly he can kind of get newer hits once awhile he’s not as big as he was ten years ago and he hasn’t had a massive hit since 2017 I think
@@mgofficial5470 still relevant, he literally has people saying yesterday price is not today price still, relevance became more than Music a lot of rappers during his time he came out couldn’t keep that relevance up for this long
@@mgofficial5470 say u hating without saying it 💯💯💯 he’s touring with Ashanti now doing major arenas again (they was just here at the Verizon Center in DC) , his IG lives during the plandemic was the go to … his yesterday price ain’t todays price is a quotable that athletes to Hollywood types admit they took from him … u sound like niggas who still want reasonable doubt Jay Z , grow TF up ….
When my nephews were kids, I introduced them to hiphop by playing Represent by Nas, And Envy by Fat Joe...Now they put me on to new hip Hop. #Cooluncle4life
I was in junior high school 93 / 94 when this video came out ..... This was my first time ever remembering who Fat Joe was , and at the time I didn't know who Bone Thugs N Harmony was until at least a year later . . . . . Two of my favorite rap groups . God bless real Hip Hop History ! Man it seems like yesterday ! I really miss them days ! God Bless !
As the old saying goes... They don't make'm like they used to. Respect to you Joe for decades of timeless music and teachings from our beloved city of New York. May you continue to realize true happiness in this life of sin and watch that dam sugar and salt intake!
I'm 45, now this was the first rap album I ever bought, back in the early 90s, not sure what year this came out but bought it as soon as it came out, that's why I fu*** with Joe one of my favorites, NY all-day
I had this song on a cassette tape back in the days, it came with fire water. Envy has a deep story fat joe Expresses himself clearly I understood the lifestyle that he was living.
"Mama never said life would be so hard, sometimes i find myself alone praying to God" ... Yo Joey, i know this was a while back. But i pray that u keep praying to the one and only true God, and listen to what he's saying. Love n Blessings brotha! 🙏🇵🇷
I love this song , i agree not enough credit given to this album. I been blasting this song since the 90's and now at the age of 45 yrs old it brings me right back to my youth. Love it
love these smooth rap joints havin females backin it up with nice vocals... love me some miss jones! jonesy's voice is perfect... especially the outro!!
This is one of the rare songs that can get me out of depression easily, such a beautiful joint from Joey, emotional, motivational, and nostalgic, JUST PERFECT.
Damn I can’t believe how dope this video is and how Young Pun and Cuban look here. Keep in mind Pac and BIG were alive at this time. What could have been….
My little brother died in 2010 and when i hear this, its 2006 and hes alive and next to me, giving me a ride in his new truck on a summer night with this on his cd player
Song grew on me over the decades. Back then, thought the Marvin Gaye sample was overly commercial (a la much of Bad Boy back then). But it grew on me through the years.
