Hip Hop is a counter culture. The powers that be seen our greatness and they seen how our music moved nations in the 60’s and 70’s through live instrumentation. So they took music and band lessons out of the curriculum. Out of struggle came Graffiti, B Boy’in/B Girl’in = Break dancing, MC’in (Master of Ceremonies), DJ’in (Dish Jockey) and Knowledge. All from Foundational Black Americans. Hip Hop was looked down on. For a long time they refused to give Hip Hop any mainstream looks. The term ‘Yankee Music’ was used from several foreigners at the time. They even said that Hip Hop is just a fad and it wouldn’t make it long term. Now look we have Jack Harlow, Burna Boy and Bad Bunny. All artist who were clearly inspired by Black Culture/Hip Hop. I refuse to have anyone from anywhere try and take claim for what my ancestors and forefathers created. 💯💯💯

The removal of music and band lesson is somewhat a myth to an extent in the development of Hip Hop. What took place was that Disco Deejays was the big thing happening along with the radio emcee personalities. A lot of the early hip hop DJs played instruments, many were drummers who put down there sticks to spin records (i.e. Grandmixer DXT, DJ Jazzy Jay, DJ Jam Master Jay, etc....) . HiFi stereo sound systems were the computers gadgets of the 70s that every young male kid wanted to have.

If you evaluate Fat Joe's career, it's really not that impressive. For someone who has been rapping as long as he has, he should have way more hits, including single hits. Pac and biggie career didn't last long, but they have way more hits than joe.

He was 2-3 years old in 1973. He wasn't there at the beginning and lying about origins of hip hop. Every latino he names came in 77-80s when hip hop was already created..B.E.T never interviews the grandfathers who was doing it in 1970 in Bronxdale
