Wayne is beyond a shadow of a doubt the most influential rapper in the history of the genre. He influenced the sound and the look in a way no one ever did nor has done since. He's top 5 all time for me.

I always thought Mos Def was the best. Black On Both Sides is still one of the baddest joints in Hip Hop. But, I agree with Joe. Lil Wayne is an absolute phenom. I once heard Weezy say he treats rapping like a sport. If that's the case, then he is the Black Mamba of Hip Hop.
Factz I never forget hearing Lil Wayne on brown paper bag money remix and fat Joe had to go after him. Fat Joe was good but Wayne showed it's levels. eventually on all the remixes they make sure Wayne had the last verse
I’ll say technically Eminem is the goat but if we talk about the depth of rap in all of his ways. That’s lil Wayne. Just see the legacy. Every young rapper even mumble rappers call themselves lil. That’s crazy because weezy did mumble and technical rap with crazy bars.
