Fat Man buys new Tiny Bike - well not so tiny albeit its only a 125cc !!
Well, after being beholden to mates to help with my repairs on the YB100, which actually is bloody unreasonable on my part I've decided that at my age I can't afford to be off the road without a bike in the summer months - I am talking about a small bike; the Bonneville doesn't count!
So looking at the options the little Yamaha XSR125 came up as favourite - actually its not so physically small but the engine is. Great little bike and after its run-in it should almost have the performance of my old Royal Enfield Meteor 350!
Inevitably this does mean the YB will have to go....sad and emotional as that day will be. I am waiting for a re-bore and top end rebuild.
If you know anyone who might be interested in a "famous" YB thats been round Ireland and the UK let me know.
