Yeah, I am just getting into the hobby and thought 1k was fairly cheap. Until I started watching videos from 2+ years ago and damn.... I waited too long to get into quads haha

Walksnail is making some smart moves with the stand alone VRX they just introduced on Pre-order and putting the walksnail into an affordable box goggle and by doing so luring new customers into their ecosystem. Personally I have a set of analog scouts in my goggle arsenal and they are great. A digital affordable box goggle is something nobody else is doing...very cool stuff Walksnail. 👍

Yes, If only the oled goggles had normal inputs and outputs they would already own a sweet part of the market, now they are mostly trying to fix the damage they themselves made to their name with the controversial launch. note that the same exact "digital affordable box goggle" already was sold with the sharkbyte system

@@metalfpv Yeah, a little too much screwing around on their part but I'm sure there is a fair amount of business decisions going on behind the scenes that justify their decisions. Either way the more options out there for us the better.

BetaFPV has box goggles with built in antennas. They're analog, but they are lightweight and work quite well for whoops! They're my go to till I'm able to upgrade or make the jump to hd 😁

Thus thing is 100% better than those hyped up Fatshark HDo2 goggles where it's like looking through a small key hole ! Also RU-vidvreviewers like to talk about how the HDo2 goggles have OLED screens inside which is the same as LCD to me when I lost my money buying them and got disappointed. Box goggles are way superior in comparison to these dumb HDo2 goggles style in terms of VIEW and feeling imersed into fpv. 👍

Launch of this system was a complete disaster, but it's quickly becoming good, walksnail improved picture quality, released that cheap VRX combo and now fatshark made box goggles. I'm impressed. Now the only thing that's missing from both goggles is HDMI input.

i have a pitch for a video idea. get one guy/girl that you absolutely know for sure that plays a LOT of simulator freestyle, only that and no real drones, he have to be real good at all the tricks in the sim. then get him/her a field and a real drone and ask him to do the exact stickmoves and right off the bat start freestyling. for better or worse, that would be awsome to see

The only way I could quit analog is by getting these afordable box googles. Other options are over-the-roof expensive... even HDZero will be much expensive than I expected.

Yep. This is becoming much cheaper and better than hdzero. They dropped a vrx module like hdzeros you can out ok skyzones or fatshark analog goggles. Like $230 WITH a vtx amd camera unit

@@TheTriggerhappyhippi yeah, that would be an option if I already had a pair of flamant 600€ googles. Most analog googles are not 1024p capable. Buying the Recons and the walksnail vtx is an option, but I suspect the real googles will be better integrated with the whole HD system. ...... I'm just waiting for sth to happen while still flying superb analog Phoenix 2 camera

@@miquelmarti6537 i get you, this does convert it to the highest playable option on your goggles so its still usable. Analog is fine im just saying this is probably the most affordable Hd option. Also you can probably use this on a monitor since they have hdmi input

Prefer their hdzero version honestly. Sad they discontinued those ones to replace with a system i lowkey dont care about🤷‍♀️, i like my flights latency free, dont care much about hella hd details as a racer

I just thought another hdzero goggle was a cool option for people wanting a budget option on hdzero, cause when the hdzero goggles come out, it wont be cheap. Would be cool to have a budget option for hdzero.. but makes sense that they are going in the direction of avatar, cause i mean the company itself started that digital hd option

You’ve never flown Hd have you? How can you prefer hdzero if you have not flown it. Ive flown analog, hdzero, and dji and this looks awesome and will close down hdzeros market to racers only. Since anti dji users will have a new HD system with a better community. Its also way cheaper than hdzero and their “affordable” products

@@TheTriggerhappyhippi im a racer and tried hdzero on goggles from my friend who offered for me to try it. I like it. And your right, through and through im mostly a racer as its the most fun I personally have with FPV. Digital hd isnt for me, yet the new dji o3 units look incredible with the picture quality so i may get that for a freestyle build along with new dji goggles. But avatar fpv is just meh, lowkey not up to the level as the new dji products so im not really interested. Just seems like a cheaper knock off, and apparently the vtx and board stuff for avatar fpv system that u put in ur quad itself isn’t durable. Few crashes and it brakes and needs to be replaced according to some friends i know that use the system.

Hey guys you probably have already seen this but it incudes4 images of the new DJI air unit with a firmware update including a screenshot from the goggles menu that shows the old unit, the mini 3 pro, the mavic 3 and the new air unit.
