Fata Morgana On Ride - POV Efteling 

This wonderful darkride and many other great attractions in the Efteling such as Droomvlucht and Villa Volta, have all been designed by former Creative Director Ton van de Ven. With his expertise he created the true "Efteling atmosphere", built upon the foundation of Anton Pieck's ideas. It's truly a shame he passed away earlier this week, at the age of 71 :'(

You know I was lightly traumatized by this ride as a kid. The dentist that shows at 2.17 and the screaming man caused me nightmares. Also for a small kid the human dolls are so lifelike, it's terrifying. Then as adult I went on the ride and the continued playing of the same music in a loop in the waiting line, drove me insane. I would never advice someone to skip this ride tho. Together with Droomvlucht it's the best dark ride in the Netherlands. And it shows what animatronics used to look like in the early days. It's cultural heritage for a dutch person. But I will never again ride that ride in my life. Even watching this videos sends shivers down my spine. And I'm like 28 now! But I wanted to share my story and point out the creepy dentist. Thanks for uploading as always Shawn. TPW love! xx

Never been on Fata Morgana, but I’d love to one day. It’s the only example I’ve seen of a dark ride successfully matching Pirates of the Caribbean’s mysterious and dreamlike style and it doesn’t at all feel like a rip off.

Best dark ride of the park! I love the smell of incense in the big throne room!
