No, you never stop on or around the course, never stop unless you see a red flag. Even then you go back to pits and let emergency services do their job. Many times I rode back to the pits wondering if this guy or that was dead or terribly injured. Then you shrug it off and back to racing.

You don't stop in a race, marshals and medical teams handle the crashes.The last thing medical staff want is unqualified people on the scene.

I took risks on my old bike, but the two times that I fell off were due to other factors when I was being careful. I felt that I had used up a couple of lives by then and opted for 4 wheels and seatbelts. Biking was exciting but it could easily be a ticket to severe bruising, gravel abrasion, broken bones, paraplegia, quadraplegia, or death. Falling of a bicycle or horse is bad enough.

i got a fzr 1000 up to about 200 for 1 mile or so on the only rd.in guatemala to do it on 25 years ago.before i was a grape and now i am a rasion , by the WILL.

You were not doing 200mph, so I guess you meant 200Kph. Back in 1986, I had an FJ1200 and would do 145mph for stretches and 120 mph 60 miles at a time on Southern California freeways. Many up towards the High Desert were empty then. California was the best place in the U.S., now it is a Neo Marxist shithole. I was a Los Angeles County deputy sheriff and was only stopped twice by CHP but they cut me a break because I was a cop. There is alot of speedometer error in the speedos back in the 80s and 90s. The factory reps told me as much, if the speedo showed 160, the rider was probably doing 140 to 145.

Just wow. On so many levels. Too aggressive,& next to zero successful turn passes. If it couldn't be done on turn entry or straight, it shouldn't have been attempted, it near killed them both.

They give good riders a bad name.I know some good Harley riders that never endanger their friends.The one I knew that was killed was racing just like that and got into the gravel and lost control.He was killed,it was his first ride with his bike,he just bought it.A logging truck driver he was.

green rider used brakes later on most of times, and this contrasts with the latter biker skidding front wheel in a (late) brake just before the fall... I feel he was still regaining the control but then came that back wheel slip: was too much to handle.

Yup, it's the Northwest 200, the fastest road race in the world. 360 days of the year these are public roads. The other 5 they're this and there will be fatalities, which is why only highly experienced road racers are allowed to enter. Unfortunately when you're on the limit 100 percent of the lap it only takes a slight change to cause a huge crash...

No, there is massive skill required, you have to read every centimetre of road AND the intentions of your competition at over 200 mph and still calculate to leave a margin for invisible or undetectable changes in condition while defending your position and calculating how to pass the rider in front.

The Honda guy died at 1:33. Looks like he crashed into the blue barriers. The crash towards the end of the video was a Ducati. The blue barriers surrounding high-speed sports bike motorcycle races, such as in MotoGP or other similar events, are typically made of **air-fence or foam-based materials**. These barriers are designed to absorb impact and reduce injuries in case of crashes. 1. **Air-fence barriers**: These are inflatable barriers that act like airbags.
