Unlikely. Boat is piloted by a certified river guide. Flip does not equal nearly drowning. River guides generally do not take clients down anything higher than a grade 3 plus. Sure it is big but that does not mean very dangerous. Nile is class 3 plus low 4 for the most part. Sure there are some 4 plus and maybe even low 5 but that is walked by commercial operators and they know where the drops are. Same as Zambezi. Class 3 plus for the most part. That’s the Overtime rapid. I was guiding for Adrift in the late 90’s when we were the only company running that rapid. I saw the longest down time i ever saw a punter do there, plus once I got a bit sideways, flipped back into the falls, and a big South African dude got smashed up badly. Big rugby boy was broken.

Should not be on a commercial float. These people have 0 idea what happens when the "guide" messes up. Trusting 4 or 6 lives to a guy whos mentality is trust me I got this is dumb. He can only rescue one of you at the most during a flip. People die every year on class 2 and 3 rapids due to the hubris and misunderstanding of risk.
I was one of the very early guides on the Nile from 96-2002. I ran that section, and some much bigger rapids everyday. We pitched the river as genuine Grade 5, not commercial pitch Grade 5. Punters knew what was on the cards. I flipped over a 100 times on the Nile in the first 3 years I was there. Then I just stopped counting.
