About the 3. tipp, you can also flinch shot him on his 2 legs state, you're dealing only 900 dmg (not exactly shure about that number) but then you'll also have a small window where another person can grab on to him and immediataly flinch shot him again for the juici 4k dmg!

Make sure the head is tenderized before wall bang flinch shot. As it will do increased part damage to the head. Cuz let’s be honest we all farming the evil eye now from full head break lol.

I've only got him 5 times myself but my biggest tip that I don't see a lot of people using is to make him sleep before using the Draginator to wake him up. I think it's about 17000+ another 8500 damage this way, if I miss that even with a good team it's going to come down to the wire. Good luck and happy hunting everybody :)

Want to add, use smoke bomb when u r using canon or ballista. His attack to people who's handling canon, ballista, and dragonator, even if you're only standing near it on accident, is a guaranteed one shot. Smoke bomb will confuse him so he would stand still while looking for you. Also, it will give your team some opening while he's confused.

The funny thing about FF14 healers is that they are DPS classes that can also heal, which means they are even more of a DPS than all the "healer" builds people use in this game.

Go with Ghilli Mantle + Poison Atk + Bombardier + Heavy Artillary, carry Poison Smoke bombs and Mega Barrel Bombs. Put the Mega barrel bombs right below the 1st cannon then Equip both the cannons and aim at him correctly, fire 1st one he’ll crawl to you straight into mega bombs, run to 2nd cannon, fire at him for that sweet KO, use poison bombs 8 will proc the poison, tendarize the head while he is down then after he stood up wall bang = Easy 12k damage. Thats the method one of my friends used today, I was blown away with this and now I am at 9 hunts including 2 solos. 🙌🏻

If you're having trouble in a 4 man group, try to hunt in duos, the cats are really useful. Vigorwasp gives you one free save from death (hopefully you won't get killed the moment you get up) and the Coral gadget gives you negate wind pressure/stuns boosts. All my clears were in duos, with double headbreak

Honorable mention: joined a lobby that have at least 2x 999 MR hunters (most likely they will kick you out if you’re MR 500 or below) but at least they know what to do and you don’t have to worry about them but yourself. I came across 3 times 999 MR hunters in Fatalis quests and succeed 3/3 with at least 2 faint left.

In addition to healing, it's better to farcaster out of positions you don't want to be in(besides fatalis breath phases) which you need to heal or have fatalis aggro without chance to heal. It's better to farcaster out than cart, plus you can resupply.

If you have trouble breaking the head: Shortly before first nova, tenderise head. After first nova, grab the binder (it's right behind the safe zone), get in the roaming ballista but don't shoot, just move it to the opposite side. Use the one shot binder with the nearby ballista, then pummel his head with the ballista. His tenderised head has almost the same hitzone for ranged as his untenderised chest, so don't worry that it'll show grey numbers, you are doing good damage to him and on your way to the headbreak. Also IMO Switch Axe is overrated for the headbreak, I actually found it easier to double headbreak on GS despite being SA main. The reason is zero sum discharge has a 0.10x partbreak modifier on the tick damage, which is the majority of the damage. Plus if you cancel early you can actually miss the final explosion which I believe has normal partbreak capacity. I could just barely get the second headbreak before the kill with SA but I had much more time to spare on GS. Also, ZSD can rng cart you especially with the novas so watch out.

good lord that belly flop tip is a HUGE mindblown, i already brought max potions but i also bring stuff for making more ancient potions, you can only have one but you can bring enough mats to make like 9/10 more.

Another tip: For singleplayer, if you lose like 1/3 of your health and want a quick heal, you can use Dust of Life instead of Max Potions. I find myself running out of Max Potions in Fatalis fight.

Actually, the healer guy in my team actually doing all the cannons and binders, so that's works well on his position

If you're a Sword and Shield or dual blade user, do you recommend using Alatreon high elemental weapons, instead of fatalis high raw ones?

Can fatalis be wall-banged every time he belly flops and is on all 4’s? Or is it just when his icon is yellow (not raging)?

When hunting him in multiplayer, i run Sticky LBG with Wide Range. With the Fatty armor i can get the mandatory sticky damage skills (artillary 5+atk up 7+Peak perform 2) and still have room for wide range, free meal 3 and speed eating. so i can heal while still doing my share of damage. i swear, the Fatty armor is amazing

the Kulve set is probably one of the best for this fight. i used it with the free meal max and still had enough slots to max out crit eye and weakness. the set already and crit boost and you just need one slot to max peak performance and since staying topped off this fight is key, you get the 20 attack boost which is just short of max agitator without secret.

Some other tips: for the last 3 novas I notoced that the sea of flames is in a triangular shape, so if you feel like you are too far, run towards the safe zone in a slightly diagonal line, do not run straight under fatalis, for it's the longer route.

If you don't want to farm mats for max potions or craft potions midfight just slot in speed eating 2. It's really easy to fit in since its a 1 slot deco and is in a lot of combo decos.

A few corrections, you can bring 12 max potions. with the correct mats and radial. Also ONLY flinch shot when 4 legs AND head is wounded, if head is not wounded it does not take part break dmg, you want that double headbreak.

First point. To escape from fatalis' finisher attack evade extender is also usefull because your rolls will make you speeder than a normal run (obviously this thing does not work if you have an heavy weapon unsheeted)

Very good tips. Agreed with the wide range, however i have seen one time where 1 person on wide range doing less than 4k a run actually helped. We used 3 Swaxes and 1 healer. The healer also had free meal secrets and kept popping a might pill every damage window any of us had. The healer and 1 of the Swaxe users had never beat him before, so 2 out of 4. We ended up with about 14 min a run, no carts. Not the fastest by any means, but very smooth easy chill runs. Personally though this fight is easiest solo or as a duo, I'd def recommend solo first for anyone having a hard time

I have an correction for number 3 it’s true you want to wall bang him when’s he on all 4 but an wall bang when’s he on his leg will make him go on all 4 thus if you have an team communicate this so wall bang are efficient

Me and my friends made a pretty consistent strategy to defeat fatalis that it's not that hard to pull of. We have one healer with HH and heavy artillery, two light weapons with clutch claw boost so his whole body remains tenderized for the entirety of the fight and a weapon that can mount easily. The only status that we use is paralyse and every time his head breaks before the third phase. Any of us is a really skilled player and it works, so try it out, it's a really fun strategy Note: we only use the binder when he's facing the roaming balista, so the HH can unload it in his face

For the last pointer though, I cleared it with 2 pure supports on my team so I can't really agree with that statement. However, the other 2 dps users have to be on point.

A tip for the gate. You dont have to wait for all 4 players to get into the safe space. The animation of pulling the lever take a few seconds and it also takes a second or two for the gate to raise up so if you see your teammates are close to it just pull the lever

if you have healer in team that means you gotta cover the damage loss of the healer as you can do much more damage because you don't have to chuck potion everytime you get hit, I got a healer in my team and we got the quest done in 19 minute on special asignment, no fatalis gear. If your team doesn't deal enough damage with 3 guys, well, might be too much def or you're not good enough with damage optimization

Why does Fatalis fall at 4:13? Is it thanks to the cannons/spread damage on the chest?

Dual blade is really useful for easy flinch. Just use dodge + slinger burst, continue punish the dragon, repeat.

Thank you for putting the required damage output for each member of the group. This is a fight you have to hold your own, to much supporting will lead to a failure. Run wide range if you have the room for the buffs, but let everyone else handle their own. (That doesn't mean not to heal if you have the opportunity while repositioning to Fatalis' location.) Everyone's main focus should be damage! Save the dragon pods to save a life, don't spam them because everyone fails to mention his threshold raises after your first two flinches. I believe I unloaded 4 at one point when I needed it (ended up dieing) because everyone spammed him beforehand. One tip for anyone would be not to sleep on the cannon start up. Go incognito and position those cannons, I like to bring him to the platform for more dps on his head where it lands in front of the platform. (FCGS jump charge to TCS = 1800+) if you position right, his head pushes you while you roll sheath, grapple and fire him into the platforms. (If you're not using them at the start then don't use them at all, the amount of time it takes hoping he positions just right is wasted dps) If you have a partner or group, they can grapple Fatalis' head at the platform before he falls weakening it for the TCS, then they're in position for the wall bang. farcast out and change to your fight gear. Takes 1:30 to complete solo and you just did around 9k damage in that time, few combos after you return (around 6-7 minutes for the average player) and he's down to 75%. I've been experimenting some builds and been joining random players and here's things that i learned and helped me. 1. Evade extender or Evade Window is so good at this fight since u can just roll out of his attacks range pretty much easily. 2. Get the fireproof mantle and tempo mantle with 2-3 levels of maintenance. Some players is still going for the rocksteady mantle even thou they get pretty much one hit with fire attack and with the 2-3 levels of maintenance ur tempo mantle will be almost up once fireproof mantle expires. 3. PLEASE DONT FLINCH HIM WHEN STANDING PLEAAASE. 4. At phase 2 fight him near the barrier so you guys wont have any problem running away from him.

Thanks for the tips. But if I'm allowed, I think its better to bring ancient potions instead (you can bring at least 20 of those in a hunt). You 'just' have to farm for the Nourishing Extract and Kelbi Horn... which is a hassle tbh. Or you can use Immunizer to replace Nourishing Extract. In that case, you can only bring 10.

Sadly I can not kill him he is way to hard for me. I tried for hours and hours for the past few days and nope.

I always get to the last 5 percent health and then the carting always happens ive been close to killing him, but I just suck too much lol 😆
