When leaving the gate in third phase, run to the balista on the right for one shot binder, throw a smoke bomb, enter the balista, wait for the minimap turn purple, shot the binder, go punch Fatty, and when the binder disconnect, Fatalis will start the animation of looking for you
what I really want to know is why it sometimes steps back when hit while looking around and why sometimes it just doesn't give a crap to getting hit and continues looking around
good question :) If you deal damage while the map outline is purpled, itll take a step back and roar, and when it is red it will not most commonly purple smoke is procced by putting a smoke too close to the crotch (which is where its actual line of sight comes from), which can be used as an exploit for some freestyled speedruns if you position the smoke so that it cuts line of sight with all players, but not in the crotch, it will keep looking around theres also some mechanics to targeting which can affect the smoke but those are niche cases
do you know what triggers the roar when fatty is searching(besides the smoke after bind), i thought it was triggered by being in the smoke for too long, but sometimes it wouldnt happen. like what happened in 5'01 and 5'13
hitting fatalis while standing in the smoke and it's searching for you, while fatalis is standing directly on a smoke, and hitting a fatalis while the minimap has a purple border after a smoke will trigger the roar
Why would something that the game gives you to use in any fight be an exploit? People are killing fatalis with only bombs , is that an exploit too? I think that’s the beauty of it, you have the freedom to use whatever the game offered you, whatever you learned and use your imagination in killing the last boss of the game.
exploit because, fatalis is easily triggered by smoke bombs, unlike alatreon. Hitting a monster while it doesnt know where it came from doesnt even make sense.@@dell4u148
