C’mon, these artist today can’t put anything together to come close to this. They (the millennials) know better. Heck, these artists today don’t even play instruments! 😂😂😂
Reminds me of the awesome block parties back in the days of my young teenager years.👌↗Peace; and respect to Fatback for sharing their beauty and talent for many to enjoy to listen to back in the days the 🎵 musical joint played as a hit through many radio outlet's.↗😚
@@anthonytaylor7928 No. It was a nightclub. It was a hole in the wall that was real popular with young Black people in Columbus for a long time. And, I remember them playing this song. There used to be a lot of really pretty women in there. My parents, who met at Ohio State, used to go there in the late 1940s. I am not from Columbus but I stayed there briefly after undergrad and have family there.
@@sevenstarsofthedipper1047I'm from Toledo Ohio I attend a lot of events in Columbus too bad ur gonna miss the ribs and jazz festival next weekend downtown Columbus scioto miles area it's gonna be awesome
@@anthonytaylor7928 I am from Cleveland but I live in Chicago and have been here for more than 40 years. I love it here. The right wing media tries to make this place seem like a hell hole because we are a pro labor Democratic stronghold with a million Black people and a million Latinos. Do we have issues? Yes. But, Chicago is not even in the top 20 cities for violent crime per capita. There is a lot going on here but we are not stacked on top of each other like cities in the East. All of the Great Lakes cities are similar (Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, Toledo, Erie, Buffalo, Rochester, and Cleveland). They are different from other parts of the Midwest. Chicago is just the biggest one.
Yesss Laawdd..This was true funk back in the day !!! Also he got it right about the corner of 13th and F street in downtown DC. 45 years later that is still a good place to "Stargaze"...lol And also still to this day.. FUNK IS IT'S OWN REWARD...🤘🏾🎼🤘🏾
I still have all the T-Connection's great vinyl albums from the '70s... somewhere. I wore the "Groove City" off of those things, back when I was a more-functional being. Permanently damaged a few muscles dancing to them, too. I don't mind. Thank GOD for RU-vid, & the good folks with the technical capabilities to bring this fabulous band to new generations of real-music maniacs!!!🤟🏾
I spent all this time (44 yrs.) thinking Sigarhill was the 1st rap group. Ok, Fatback, I remember this song. Wearing my wrap around disco belt. Singing the remix ' I like the boys' 😁
I remember my first summer job working for a black state representative when he got us around the state house would always say "Turn down the disco" and we would always yell back "This aint disco!! lol
When I was teenager all I know I thought I was a ugly duckling but when this song came the boys proved me wrong good times fr I’m 60 now but I Good❤❤❤❤❤❤

This song would come on in the club and you better believe I gave the boys something to watch! By the time I got off the floor my afro would be a size smaller!
Vic a friend of mine used to do the Rock to this all the time that was his groove. I hear that song and it makes me think of growing up in our neighborhood good posting that.
The first time I heard this was in Staunton, Virginia. I was driving through and my car broke down in 1978. Good times back then ...ain't too bad now either! Love it Thanks!!!
That's not a cow bell it's a tire hub taken from a truck wheel that we created for that particular sound. I fixed and painted it myself, labor of love. Still love the Girls....
