I was all in until you said his Regen is better than Alucards. There's absolutely no way that's true. What gets misunderstood is the fact that Alucard trolls his enemies. He's slow to heal because he talks massive amounts of shit while doing so. Alucard isn't pressed to heal because he knows who he's fighting isn't worth rushing.
Faster regen isn't exactly the only measure for better regen either. Both regenerate at a functionally instant rate. Which one does it slightly faster matters very little, but which one can regenerate for longer, and how much damage can they still regenerate from are also very relevant questions. Alucard can keep regenerating so long as he's still (un)alive and has souls in the tank to burn, and can regenerate from any amount of damage. What fuels Anderson's regeneration, and how damaged can he get before there's not enough of him to regenerate from?
Not quite. The man clearly does age as he hardly looks as young as his recruits or even quite as young as Alucard himself usually looks. So while his regeneration may grant him an extended lifespan... he very much remains a mortal man.

I think you missed that Alucard is a supernatural being and up until the final episodes he didn't need to heal quickly as he didn't care about his physical form. In the final duel Alucard is only vulnerable because he has released all of his familiars losing the immortality protecting him, so while Alucard was aided by Seras, it was only because of the Nazis Millennium organisation forcing Alucard to release his familiars that Anderson came that close to victory so he was helped by Millennium
Well not quite. Alucard was not any more vulnerable to dying permanently with all his familiars out there Except that when he drew the flood back in to revive, Schrödinger killed itself and fell into the red stuff to join the flow and use his alive/dead quantum uncertainty to make Alucard's revival mechanism bluescreen. Which itself only worked for a few years before he came back. There's no way to kill Alucard permanently other than somehow killing him so many times that it sticks... That or somehow ridding the world of all other monsters at which point its Possible Alucard will either remove himself... allow a human hero to slay him or just go to sleep until a new monster is born into the world so he can kill it.
I took it that as the Major says that Anderson or Walter could kill Alucard that he was at least vulnerable once he released his familiars, Schrödinger was a weapon to finish him when he tried to recover from his vulnerable state as the Major says he didn't think Walter or Anderson would succeed even though they could

Though he failed to realize that using that stake on himself and becoming a true monster sealed any chance what so ever of him winning against Alucard. And Walter never stood a chance, partly for the same reason, as he threw away everything that made him respectable, honorable or even human anymore and Alucard accordingly dealt with him like the traitorous monster he had become. So while Anderson might have had a chance in theory... Walter was meant to be yet another sacrificial pawn and never had any chance of being a true threat to Alucard once he got himself turned into an artificial vampire. And lets keep in mind that even Schrödinger ultimately failed to kill Alucard so any illusion of his state being somehow more, truly, vulnerable does not seem to have any basis in observable events from the show.
@@accywacky2699 this was kind of my point, the video makes it seem Alucard would have been defeated by Anderson without Seras' help but Alucard wasn't really in mortal danger, though it was the closest he had been between Millennium and Iscariot basically ganging up on him. The video overestimates Anderson's abilities drastically in my opinion.
And you would be correct, if pay attention during the end he can regenerate his blow up hand and even if it was faster which isn't it can't take as much punishment as alucard's. The video in fact contradicted itself. Also alucard's a troll, just look the fight against Luke valentine

They also ate people didn't they? Why can't they shapeshift if any vamp can become anyone they consume? What about the bakersvile hound? Did he eat a dog to be able to transform part of himself into that? lol It's not his real form any longer. The reason why Alucard can shapeshift while none of the other vampires in the series can is because he has consumed a large number of people and is a true vampire. Seras has only consumed and taken Pip into her essence, the Millennium vampires don't have the ability even when they eat people because they aren't true vampires, they cannot absorb souls or have anywhere near the same number of supernatural abilities.

Honestly interested ask as it would involve a vampire being given blood (standard). But this divine holy blood so honestly love the though experiment but I got know idea what the result is as the probably so many possibilities.
Same thing as would have happened if Alucard was killed any other way... he dies, revives using one of the uncounted souls he's stored up over the ages and you get back to fighting.

Talking about strengths and regeneration of Alucard and Anderson you must remember that Alucard is extremely bored and goes to show-off every time he has a chance to. Taking hits, going into mincemmeat state, slowly collecting himself, intimidating his enemies to the point of peeing themselves before finishing them is not a sign of his weakness. It all is like saying "Seras kills her enemies way faster than Alucard sooooo-"

Cauterizing explosive bullets can inhibit Anderson’s regeneration, but the only thing that can inhibit Alucard is being killed the same number of times as the souls he has accumulated, so it’s really not even comparable in tiers of regeneration
That’s not actually true if Anderson had stabbed him with the nail of Helena, it would’ve killed him right off the bat due to the fact that the nail is literally drenched in the blood of Jesus Christ just being touched by something that was touching the nail was enough to start killing himso if he was directly stabbed in the heart by that thing he’s done for
@@charlottewalnut3118 Alucard was never going to accept true death until he had no master to serve and found someone respectable to kill him, he would’ve never allow himself to get jabbed as long as he was still protecting Integra, and if it wasn’t for the fact that he respected Anderson, he would’ve laughed and let the nail consume him instead of wasting all those souls, so he could give him the dignity of a honorable death. Besides, getting your hands on a literal act of God is much more difficult than some high explosive ordnance so in the end Anderson’s regeneration is still inferior because it’s so much more readily countered.
I’ve always wondered where Anderson’s magic powers come from. I’d except it as just being “light magic” or “white magic” but as any Christian grandma will tell you, Christian’s done believe in good magic. It makes you wonder. Did Gabriel himself come down and say “Hey Anderson. What’s up man? You know what? We think you’re so dope up there I’m just gonna give you like… 1 percent of my power.”
Anderson was a gangster, and hitman; until he was attacked by a vampire. It was only through colossal luck that the blade he stabbed it with was stolen from a church. Also; Christians in general, and Catholics in particular, totally believe in magic. Even good magic; that's what all the prayers of protection ect. are all about. What is the consecration of a church yard if not a circle against evil. Anyway: the series makes pretty clear Anderson himself has no special connection with any of the vectors of the power he wields. He cannot tell you the first fucking thing about the mechanics or production of his regeneration. His swords were blessed by someone else. And the bible that allows him to teleport is an artifact of the church that works for anyone. Even his final transformation in the anime was not a gift from god but a usurpation of divine power, not done in accordance with divine will, but a perversion of it. Done more out of Andersons desire to fight Alucard. All of this is to say that in the world of Helsing, God is silent. So, I really doubt an angel was just like, "oh you look like a fun little serial killer, here have some of the light of heaven."

Racism, for instance, is a perception that one skin color or trait is superior to all others, and this perception has shaped the entire world for millennia. The Christian perception that 'magic' is not related to the power of God is powerful, and to simply ignore that can be dangerous. I'm not saying that your belief is wrong or invalid, but it's important to respect that others don't always share that belief. Changing perception is often a very long and difficult process, and trying to bulldoze people into changing often has a reverse effect, reinforcing their belief that other ideas are bad.

Man who gives up on his humanity to become a monster is stopped by a woman who was turned into a monster but never gave up her humanity. It doesn't matter how it plays out, Anderson lost the moment he thought humanity wasn't enough to stop evil and used the nail. Seras' involvement becomes fair game when he uses the nail. It takes a human to kill a monster.
Pretty sure Anderson is at least 500 years old... Alucard (as Dracula) remarks on Anderson as having been a constant rival or somesuch, specifically mentioning "50, 100, [and] 500 years ago".
a number of people have pointed out various issues with this video's statement on Anderson's healing but id like to point something else out. this video conflates durability with healing. Anderson was shown to regenerate rapidly yes, but most of those injuries were minor or superficial. someone that can regenerate will find most attacks that don't destroy large parts of their body or complex internal structure a non-issue. the only time we see Anderson take significant damage his healing doesn't even come CLOSE to Wolverine let alone Alucard. Alucard isnt normally as tough because he doesn't need to be and chooses not to be and as shown in the final parts of Ultimate, Alucard could've killed Anderson outright at any time
Not considering that Alucard is not only limited, but also holds back to play around. An unlimited Alucard that doesn't hold anything back is an end of world scenario.

It's well established in Vampire lore they're healing or how powerful they are has to do with how much they feed. If Alucard is damaged and grabs someone and feeds he'll heal right away.
Alucard doesn't need to feed to heal, he has his millions of souls that he can just consume to repair any damage which would've killed any other vampire. Seras needed to feed to heal herself, but that's because she hadn't truly done so to anyone before, and it turned her into a true vampire instead of an incomplete one.
Anderson could have been saved from the point of dying by the augmentations, which would have definitely reinforced his faith. I agree with alucards statements that anderson is human, cause hes power comes from human technology and not supernatural gifts unlike Alucard Alucard was allready that strong when he killed Anderson the only reason he didnt was because of how much Andersons choice tormented and made Alucard depressed. He's friend basically made the same mistake that he himself made and regretted.

A few things others might have already but I thought I’d mention: Alucard may have appeared to lose his respect for Anderson but I think plenty points to that not being the case. He’s clearly fond of him right up to the end and even made sure NOT to drink his blood, thus doing Anderson a sort of kindness by not tethering his soul to himself but leaving him to go wherever God takes him. Alucard was more disappointed that his own obsession with strong humans being the one to take him down wasn’t going to happen, at least not by him. He was really upset about the whole transformation as I think what always bothered him the most was existing so far away from humanity yet still being a part of it and how it all worked to mess with his sense of identity but also the experience of living “forever.” Another thing that I find really interesting is that Anderson is a man of faith quite clearly but it’s almost as if he and the Iscariots are a little more well wild and sinful which they claim is because they plan to enter hell and fight demons there. It might seem like just a cool psychological state Iscariots put themselves into for combat but I think they actually mean it wholeheartedly which is really cool and a testament to their willpower and mental fortitude. Their faith and trust in God and his plan. It’s like they’re sacrificing more than just their lives in the service of the church and humanity as a whole and you can imagine the character of those who believe they’re doing this in the place of other innocents and asking not even for recognition or special reward. It’s pretty vital to understanding some of Anderson’s motivations, actions, and reactions to things for example his tranquility upon dying, he knows what’s ahead even if he’d have liked his time on Earth to go differently. Alucard and Anderson is like the ultimate manifestation of real recognizing real.
I think the presenter dropped the ball on the regeneration factor. Father Anderson doesn't use ammunition--which implies firearms--he uses bayonets. His weapons would also be blessed, and it would stand to reason his weapons do more damage against unholy creatures. Alucard confirms this when he speaks to Seras. "Conventional" ammunition is used mostly by humans and possibly ghouls. The ammunition used by Seras Victoria, Sir Integra, and Alucard are either on the extreme end of this or downright exotic. "Bullets forged from the melted-down silver cross of Manchest Cathedral" and the variety of shells used by Seras's cannon sure as hell don't sound like "conventional ammunition." In the OAV, a Nazi vampire shrugs off rounds fired by police, but dies quickly when shot by Sir Integra. When she leaves her pistol with Sir Penwood, she mentions it is loaded with more effective ammunition. Vampires, and even ghouls, seem to be able to shrug off standard rounds. If Father Anderson holds the edge here, the case was not made.
I think alucard was fighting Alexander on a restricted level he wasn't granted a full release of his powers till millinum attacked. I want a series on how the hellsing organization was able to capture the master of shadows, morphing, disguise, and regeneration. The guy was already immortal and full of extra souls and without being restricted what stopped him from devouring sir integra( the dad) upon sight! I'd love for them to continue the series yet I dont want it destroyed with political agendas and manipulation to get a profit
Just wondering but wouldn't Alucards regeneration power be superior because he managed to regenerate from mere atoms, albeit taking several years. Or is that just Schödinger causes Alucard's atoms to be in a state between reality and Alucard was simply searching for the right door to open, so to say, to get back? I haven't seen the show in a long time so I may have forgotten a couple of details, but one thing that I haven't forgotten is Norio Wakamoto's AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMEN!
I think alucard wanted tp die there but not leave the world whit a monster like him on it since if he would die there nobody could stop anderson so i think probably anderson would have won maybe if he didnt used the nail since the nail gave alucard a reason to win this
Alexander's regeneration is not stronger than Alucard's. Alucards regeneration can be pretty much instant and we see that several times during the series. He just chooses not to heal fast because he loves pain. Alucard can heal from a pool of blood while Alexander can not. Alucard also chooses not to heal fast just to mess with his enemies, he pretends to take more damage to make them feel like they can win. Then he instantly heals and dominates them.
In regards to Alucard's 454 Casul being able to one shot most vampires, in addition to having a high caliber, the bullets themselves are specialized holy ammunition designed to kill supernatural beings. Anderson being human makes that last part irrelevant, and treats them like normal bullets.
I'm not entirely sure if that blow would've finished Alucard if Seras didn't intervene , Alucard is always sandbagging even in that situation - you can see that he rips his nailed heart with sheer physical force and no magical tricks. I don't think his nailed form is as close to Alucard as you claim it to be, it was terribly one sided once he decided to end it.
Other than Anderson the only person I think had the ability to possibly beat Alucard would have been the captain (as long as Alucard can't get his hands on silver) or even if Alucard did die by Anderson he would have either been killed by seras herself or vampire walter because I don't think Anderson would have been able to beat walter with his Amp even as the beast with Helen's nail

we actually DO have one hint towards his origin: his name. the name "Anderson" follows Scandinavian naming convention, where ones last name consists of the name of the father with -son added for male children, Anderson literally means "son of Anders" this does not necessarily mean that Anderson is the direct son of a Scandinavian man named "Anders" but it *does* confirm that he must have at least some Scandinavian ancestry, which isn't surprising giving his appearance and stature.
So Father Alexander was killed via Plot Armor the ULTIMATE POWER!!!! Some rando came in and gave Alucard enough time to rip out his arch rival's heart....FOH....
I feel like most fights are a game to Alucard I don’t think it “takes him longer” I think he regenerates as fast as he wants to in most fights. Anderson is strong but I doubt he could ever actually kill Alucard. I know if I was as powerful as Alucard I would totally enjoy fucking with humans letting them rip me apart thinking they won just to come back without a scratch and slaughter them, but that’s me.
I lost respect for Alucard in this fight. He really judged Anderson for using the Thron when he himself had someone else create a gun specifically designed to kill Anderson. It was a bitch move on his part and then to be a hypocrite on top of that?? He can’t say he lost respect for him after having Walter specifically make a gun designed to kill him.
